2024 Mustang GT/EcoBoost Performance Track Testing: 0-60 MPH, 1/4 Mile, Braking & Skid Pad

Here are the Edmunds track test numbers and they are as slow as expected:

GT 0-60 in 4.8
1/4 mile in 12.7, which is decent.

Ecoboost convertible
0-60 in 5.6
1/4 mile in 14.2

I think those numbers are far off some speculated 3.6 or 3.9 seconds and I don't think the DH will be any close to that... My guess is 4.1 if we're lucky.

Yup, from Car & Driver. They are known to be pretty abusive to get their numbers, so it's hard to imagine the S650 doing better with them.

Pretty disappointing IMO. I was expecting a better time in the 1/4 with the extra HP.

Mmm… I’ve been doing a deep dive through YouTube vids and all I’m finding is stock manual 18+ GTs running from 12.9s to 13 plus on a prepped track.

I think we got a winner here.

Everyone forgets ford changed the 1 to 1 from 5th to 4th for the 2018 and up mustang GTS with the mt82. This really really nerfs the crap out of them, and really dogs them. The 10 speed will be a lot faster

lol yeah it does because it’s changes the entire gear range of the transmission aka the gears are taller meaning it’ll make less tq per gear. They’re doggy this has been true since 2018 home slice

That orange car isn’t stock, it’s got spacers, short throw, aero and exhaust… who knows what else, and on a prepped track.
It may have the stock tune… but it’s not comp.
