Not quite, for the S550 it was:
GT
GT PP2 (later replaced by the Bullit and then by the Mach 1)
GT350
GT500 (later)
Unfortunately there was never a true replacement for the GT350. All Ford did was removing the bargain PP2 and replace it with a more expensive version that had some left over...
If base would be around $90k then Ford would have priced the car reasonable... They're greedy b... You can't just put 21% inflation on the GT500 you HAVE to make more profit ...
Again, a GT500 for $101K would sell better than a $100K DHSC...

Fordauthority.com posted this very interesting article where it is stated that Ford payed around $800 per unit sold...
If true it's an absolute bargain. Who wouldn't pay $800 to have a Shelby...
Your options so far are very feasible. However, if you want loose significantly more weight you have to sacrifice comfort and/or spend a fortune...
There's a reason why Porsche is so dominant although they lack horsepower on paper.

Ford apparently came back to the Ring with the fourth iteration of its GT, it's og supercar, and quite literally broke almost every record there is to break.
6:15 is just absolutely crazy for a...
"Decades" means at least two which means 20+ years...
I strongly disagree with your opinion. Although the mustang will probably have ICE only option for the foreseeable future hybrids or pure EV versions are inevitable if Ford wants to sell the Mustang outside of the US and in numbers they are...
Early rumors saw a refresh in 25/26 as a MY26 or year 2026 including the delayed launch. However, I start doubting that a refresh has any meaningful impact on sales and is therefore not imminent.
I haven't seen any interior changes to the DarkHorse SC so I doubt we'll see a refresh for the...
Nice video but the end product looks like some kid drew it in its head. Absolutely no harmony of lines or how an entire car from bumper to bumper has to look like. More like a Ai prompt: "make it look like a matchbox version of a Mustang".
There is literally no point in talking about these kind...
Sry, but you are just absolutely wrong.
In 1965, the sticker price for a Shelby Mustang GT350 was approximately $4,547. Adjusted for inflation and using the latest Consumer Price Index for 2026, that amount is equivalent to approximately $47,000.
Using the DOW or S&P is just cherry picking...
I think the S550 generation was a good value proposition and that's where I see the Mustang outshine everything else.
So for me a fully loaded GT was around 50 in 2020 and should be $59k now because inflation is a thing. However, the S650 doesn't justify any price hike by itself. It offers zero...
Wow, what a let down...
Wasn't a big fan of the car to begin with as it's simply an overpriced Shelby GT500 with different badges but a price increase of 50% over the much more sophisticated GT500 is just the greediest thing I've seen in a long time... The GT500 could be bought for $73995 and...
There is a huge difference between a 911 Carrera and a 911 turbo... There aren't that many turbos in Germany either but many Carrera variants. These days they all have turbos but only the top dog 911 is allowed to bear that name.
I would also say that there are essentially only three 911...
Wouldn't that be a fantasy test? Tires nobody uses as a daily and even more pathetic: a prepped surface...
Noone buys a 911 Carrera S as a track car. It's a solid daily. Its probably one of the most common 'special' cars I see in Germany. More often than the regular 911 and obviously more often...
Well, the whole S650 program is delayed by a year so 2030 instead of 29 would make sense. However, one year is pretty irrelevant. Besides, rumors can never be fully trusted, especially not if we talk about 7 or 8+ years into the future. In addition, the new Mustang could arrive in 2030 or as a...
The only reason why the S550 did hold its value so well was Covid. At first, cars couldn't been bought, then couldn't been built and ultimately everything went up in price far beyond anything we had witnessed in decades.
It certainly helps that the S650 is merely a more expensive refresh with...
Since Ford has put almost zero effort into evolving the S550 I doubt that Ford will put any money into developing a 5.2 or even larger engine that is within emission compliances around most of the world. I had hops that Ford would actually invest into the Mustang or a larger engine in general...
The S650 is fairly new so it might get some of the other options as well although I doubt it due to Farleys recent remarks regarding heritage names…
Anyhow, the S550 in reality had 5 versions: Ecoboost, GT, PP2, GT350 and GT500. Bullitt and Mach 1 were just different variations of the PP2.
The...
I can’t speak for the American market but I would assume that there are a lot of similarities between the US and Germany:
It used to be different but in today’s society there is no such thing as a ‘black book’ or secret dealer trade in program anymore. Everyone is selling their cars online and...
Has anyone in the last decades ever heard anything regarding viable and impressive track times by Shelby America or their cars? I haven’t and I assume it’s 90% show and marketing. If I want a serious track car I would go somewhere else. If I wanted a heritage name and the illusion of a capable...
