*Gets pulled over*

Cop: Do you know how fast you were going?

Test Driver: *Points at Dash* Um, kinda.

Cop: Ok, you can go.

One can’t see much on this one but I wouldn’t be surprised if the S650 would have some sort of “Ford Evos” dashboard with it’s 12.3 + 27-inch screen or something like that… In the Evos the screens are much better integrated into the dash than in the new BMW i4/M3 Touring or the next LCI. One would see such a layout under that camo… I do hope though that they don’t go full spaceship and “break” the screens apart. Separating them from each other to generate an old-school like layout would be my preferred choice over some enormous touchscreen…

Besides, the infotainment in the Evos is called SYNC+ 2.0 whereas the one in the Mach-e is called SYNC 4… Does it mean that SYNC 1-4 was the end of it and we don’t get SYNC 5 but rather SYNC+ 3.0? Ultimately I don’t think that many Mustang buyers would care as long as it has Apple/Android auto and is easy to use. Touch only would be a huge bumper though…

I'd be VERY surprised if it had a dash like the Mondeo/Evos..........Mustang owners are pretty traditional and that's would be a pretty bold move.

I suspect/hope it'll have the 12" screen from the F150/Bronco.........with maybe the 8" as standard, replacing the awful 4" one.

Meanwhile I'm tormented by both loving the screen and tech while also wishing I could turn the damn thing off when it's dark. Or at least an option to "lock" it like our phones so there isn't any back lit screen while night driving. Annoys the crap out of me!

It really looks like they've "clipped" the corners on the rear, above the tail lights.
In my opinion, the ass end of the current model looks way too wide and "out there"
I also don't like that it has a wider track in the back that the front. Makes it look even wider.

So if they're trimmin' dat azz, I'd be all for it.
I don't know, the wide booty of the s550 made it really sexy and exotic imo, but to each their own lol.

also wishing I could turn the damn thing off when it's dark
you can. It's a menu option, maybe also a voice command? Or put a dark tint *polorized* film on the 8 incher. Even my 4" screen comes with an 'off' option. I can't remember right now if it was a button or had to pick a menu setting.

I just hope they retain the double brow design. Beyond that, I'm ok with them making almost everything else digital.

Side note: also really hope we continue to see the manual handbrake (if only for the manual), but I have my doubts.

Just noticed the breaklight... anyone else think they're going to have the same overhang as the mach-e?

And in that same line of thought... really we're just going to get a squished version of the 2021 front-end, but with a functional grill?

Basically, it's a mini-mach-e

Regarding the hump in the rear, it's just camo, the s550 had the same think going on when it was spied testing. Regarding the front end, the mach-e is pretty good looking, so I'm ok with the s650 having similar design cues.

According to a Ford insider on the blue oval forums known as ExplorerDude, the sketches he saw looked kinda similar to that rendering. He described the design as gorgeous, if it ends up looking like that, I'll have to agree with him.

I'll have to play with it more I guess. Maybe just having some "old guy itus" or something. I know there's the physical off button but it kills audio and everything I think? Basically I dislike looking like I'm in a movie with light on my face when in the car at night. Everyone will see me picking my nose and I like to try to do that in private or in front of hot chicks lol.

Every modern infotainment system has something that is called "night mode" or so. It's like the dark mode on Android and it works quite well. Reduced brightness and dark colours. Good visibility at night but not too bright to get flashed ;)

Yep. I have all the dark modes I have seen turned on. My eyes have never liked backlit screens at night. Wife and I nearly fist fight over her tablet/phone usage when I'm trying to fall asleep.
