The truth is the 2024 should have cost EVEN MORE.
Yeah, sorry, I'm not buying that. The 2025 model year will be the 11th year for this platform since the S650 is an S550 underneath the sheet metal. It's not an aluminum structure, and they haven't done much in terms of development over those 11 years.

but they sold it to us at bargain prices knowing they can subsidize the changes over the next few years.
What changes? It's the same car with new sheet metal and a different dash board. That's it.

that explains the price hikes to a T. And also is what Chevy did with original $59,999 C8s at launch. That are now 75k or whatever
Covid supply chain issues and inflation certainly had an impact on prices, but according to the numbers I've found, base Mustang GT prices have increased 26.7% since 2020, while the base Corvette is up 16.6%. That's a huge difference.

You’re trivializing the new interior, engine, trans updates as well as fresh sheet metal.

fox platform technically is 79-04… 25 years. But people have no problem distinguishing fox,SN95, new edge.

we're now S550, S650 and can easily extend this another decade into the S750.

point is they are not gonna cost less no matter what.
I’m not sure what changes you’re imagining.

If you receive a VIN you should be good to go. The next big deal is the Blend Date. I believe the Blend Date is when the two sections go together. Body and Drive Train.
The Spare Tire went from $415.00 to $515.00 for the 2025’s.
I ordered my 2024 GT Premium on February 19, 2024.
About 90 days later I drove it home, May, 17,2024. Very Please with my purchase..
No issues or Bugs so far..
I also ordered the Spare Tire.
Here in Colorado High County phone service can be hit or miss?
Just get the Spare for piece of mind!
That’s awesome. I am so excited. I tried to order the spare tire at the same time and apparently, you can’t order it with the PP package?? The dealer has been very good to me. I’m sure if I can’t find one, they will help me but I definitely want one. Haha.

They went up on the price and to top it off they deleted the wireless phone charger. Same Dark Horse I wanted is 5,178 dollars more, without a wireless phone charger. The Ranger Raptor you can bet will do the same and they will delete the wireless phone charger for good measure. They delete so many features on the Ranger Raptor when they brought to the states its just wrong. Ford is nickle and diming us in the states. The money they wasted on GTD they could put it to making a better regular Mustang for its real customers. Seen Ford gave a GTD to some Buggati loving youtuber instead to some real Ford guy. Ford has really lost its way not putting Ford owners and fans first for a chance at this new Mustang GTD.

Once it gets added to Ford Accessories webpage, the parts department will be able to get it for you. Right now they don't have all the 2024+ parts up for order (just the old 2015 - 2023 spare kits).

Got it. Thanks!! I used a bunch of my points getting the floor trays and the trunk mat. Haha.

Maybe I'm trivializing those things because outside of the sheet metal, they're not big changes. The new interior is the same interior as the 550 minus the dash and steering wheel. The seats are the same, front and rear. The center console in the same. It's literally the same interior with a new dashboard and steering wheel. Also, let's not forget that part of the reason it has that huge screen is because it's cheaper and easier for manufacturers than using analog gauges and buttons.

If they increased the price as much as they did for 25 but put the Tremec in the GT instead of the MT-82, that might be worth talking about. I like the S650--but not at the prices Ford is asking for a 2025 model. Take a look around at this forum--there are numerous examples of people building the same car they bought but the price is 5K higher. That's absolutely absurd for the same car in one model year when the car already isn't selling as well as it's predecessor. Raising prices isn't exactly going to entice customers, but Ford knows they're the only game in town for a manual V8.

I don't have a problem with the age of the platform, just the price they're asking now for the car that's built on it. I don't have a problem with the car, I have a problem with the price. I'm not imagining any changes, just price increases that are more in line with a normal model year. Again, the Vette has increased 16% in the time the GT has gone up nearly 27%. Do you honestly think that's justified given the nature of both of those cars?

Exactly, I don’t think anyone here would argue the Mustang is a bad car. It’s an amazing car, that’s why we are on this forum. But it’s priced at a level that essentially closes the door to new Mustang buyers as well as American muscle V8 fans looking to upgrade. No competition is bad, and this is just the result of Ford greed after Camaro and Challenger went away

We, as the consumer, are in a bit of a pickle here aren't we? Do you want a 2 door with a V8 and a manual transmission? Theres only one place to go and get that. :(

The other issue with the price...is what happens when you cross shop?
M240, M2, Supra, Z, Nismo Z, RCF, C8, etc.

And to some extent, if you want a fun daily with 4 doors:
CT4VBW, RS3, IS500, etc.

Again, the Mustang does undercut SOME of those for price (barely)...but it's a MUSTANG. It ALWAYS used to undercut the competition. The fact that the Mach 1 and Dark Horse BOTH competed against the ZL1 for price is absolute lunacy (literally pocket change difference). Do I dig the S650? Of course I do. However, in REAL money spent (not some BS MSRP comparison), a 2025 will literally cost me double than what I paid in 2013 for my then newly loaded GT/CS. YUCK!

Oh, absolutely, every car brand raised prices 10%+ with the 2025 MY, the more popular brands 20%+, so the competing cars have gotten pricier too. My niche build no longer exists, so I'd be looking at $64k+ GT Premium Convertible with MagneRide.

Unrelated but I’ve read a lot of your posts on mustang6g and your videos may inspire me to do a switch fire paired with the sport mufflers or S type mufflers in the future on my dark horse. Hope you’re enjoying your M2!
