If the GT3 car gets a 5.4L engine, I'm hopeful the new GT350 (or whatever the next special model will be) will get a version of the 5.4L
I'm thinking we'll see a road car variant of the 5.4 at some point. I believe the homologation rules require a road car version of any engine used in the race cars.

I believe that's correct. Same situation for Corvette; they put the C8.R engine in the Z06 cause the race car power plant has to be homologated.

The 2024 GT with performance pack is 3864. My 2018 GT with performance pack is 3860. It lost zero weight
Performance pack always adds more. I made sure my car didn't have it, as I just wanted it be street/strip with emphasis on strip.

The point is, the S650 didn't lose any weight. Apples to apples, they weigh the same

I never thought it would lose weight. I'm just glad it didn't gain weight like the 2015's did.

I guess I was hoping it would go on a diet. Not going to buy another nearly 4000 lb track car.

That's why they have the track-only versions of the Dark Horse. I wonder how hard it would be to convert it to a street-legal vehicle...

I would imagine quite difficult. Would have to get it a VIN and remove the roll cage at the very least.

Any info on rev limit for the new Dark Horse with these engine upgrades???
Sounds like a new Boss with forged rods, crank and upgraded cams

Honestly no idea why they upgraded the rods. I think it may be more of a marketing decision than anything, but we will see, maybe the rods actually help the engine.

I expect the rev limit to atleast be what the gen3 has, but unfortunately no info on how high it might rev.

I don’t think the dark horse will rev higher than the GT, but I hope I am wrong.
