Totally agree. Between this and the California Special, Ford has been dropping the ball in my opinion. Hopefully we'll get a tease from Ford Performance later today in regards to what they're cooking up. Hopefully they will design something exciting.
It seems a bit try-hard to me. Edgy for the sake of being edgy. The logo is the worst aspect to me. It doesn't say Mustang at all. It's more in line with the Mopar branding, similar to the Hellcat/Demon logos. It just feels forced to me. The actual vehicle itself and the specs are impressive...
My thoughts exactly. I don't really mind digital displays and I understand that they are the future, but I can't stand the execution here. The Bullitt/GT500/Mach 1 digital dash is better than this. The stuck-on tablet look is hideous.
I'm not against digital dashes, but I CANNOT stand the glued-on tablet look. It's hideous. I much prefer what Porsche has done with the 911 and I wish we could have gotten something like this. The digital dash in the Bullitt and GT500 was great and incorporated into the dash. I don't get why...
I'm thinking we'll see a road car variant of the 5.4 at some point. I believe the homologation rules require a road car version of any engine used in the race cars.
I like the car, dislike the name and badging. It's a bit cheeesy. It feels like Ford is trying to imitate Dodge and their Hellcat marketing, but it comes off as tryhard. Should have been a continuation of Mach 1.
I'm liking the improvements made to the 5.0. The dual intakes is a very cool and badass feature. I like the exterior overall, a few nitpicks here and there. I do not like the dash at all. The stuck-on tablet look is terrible. The Dark Horse theme and badging is a bit cheesy. It seems like Ford...
100% agree. I don't mind digital dashes at all, and the newest generation of 911 is a perfect example of how to execute a digital dash. It should be integrated and flow with the rest of the dash. I CANNOT stand the glued on tablet look. It's so out of place and tacky looking.
That dash is hideous. I like everything else about it, but those digital screens have got to go. Looks like a new Sonata or Mercedes dash. Not Mustang.
I think what frustrates me the most is that we were told that this would be an all-new generation. But now we see the same shift knob, basically the same wing/spoiler as the current Performance Pack, the same seats and interior door panels, etc. I say this with respect to the Mustang team at...
I like this package. I'm assuming this is the GT Performance pack. Part of me thinks this is a bit "edgy". I get BMW and Civic vibes. I think S550 will go down as best looking generation. I'll reserve final judgement until I see it in person. The interior is pretty bad though.
This looks like a mid-cycle refresh more than an all new generation. I like the front and rear ends, but this doesn't seem to constitute a whole new generation to me. And the interior, yikes.
