For those out there with the manual, can you provide the following bolt torque specs.

- Auto trans output flange bolts
- Attaching drive shaft bolts
Is this what you’re looking for?

So it looks like drive shaft to trans output shaft - 81 ft-lbs. Now I need flange to trans output shaft, 1 large bolt. Thanks!

Thanks, looks like the single flange bolt (E243389 pic) is also 81 ft-lbs. Not sure what the E243387 pic is?

This is a link to the Ford web site. While not cheap, it is a source to the actual repair procedures, diagrams and references used by dealers and technicians. Many select 72-hour access, then download (print to file) the diagrams or repair action needed.

Spoiler Alert: you cannot download everything (all materials and references) at one go. :giggle:
or if you work at a Ford dealer or service center that has the access, it costs you nothing for access for as long as you work there. just know that Ford monitors everything. every action you make, every workshop manual page you view, every breath you take is recorded for an indefinite amount of time and viewable by anyone. people in the organization/dealer you work at can actually see usernames of people, otherwise its just an anonymous access, no username listed

Who creates these service manuals? Are they essentially all Ford diagrams/info being repackaged and resold?

Curious about the reliability of things like torque specs and all that if it isn't coming from Ford itself. But then if it's coming from Ford itself, why/how does Ford allow 3rd-party companies to sell their manuals?

Based on the repair manual I received, it appears they have access to the service manuals, and then they create a pdf of the entire manual based on your VIN. They do appear to be the genuine Ford manual as they have vehicle specific information such as warranty registration date, mileage at date of sale, etc. It is likely Ford does not approve the release of the manual in pdf, but it works well for the home mechanic.

Which site was that manual/download from?

I used www.factory-manuals.com and they sent me the incorrect manual and wont return my emails. The sent me the automatic transmission version not the manual transmission version. Unfortunately the manual isn't all inclusive and only shows one version or another. If you do order, double check everything the same day you receive the download.

Update: They finally returned my email and sent me the correct manual. I take back what I said.

Anyone have the torque specs for rear suspension bolts? I can’t find them for the s650, only s550.

Not sure which part of the rear you need, but let me know if its not in the pages I printed.

Both files work now

If you are a hardcore mechanic and will be doing major repairs, I would get the Helm one. This one is okay, but certain references in the manual are missing so I have to search online for additional information. But for $70 you can’t go wrong. If you do buy it from factory-manuals, go through the manual when you first get it and make sure it has the information you need for your project.
