So I think it's a bad battery. I took it for a drive just now. Voltage was 11.0 when I started the car. That number didn't change throughout the drive. So that leads me to believe that the alternator is still working, but the battery is not taking a charge.

I have a service appointment on Wednesday morning.

Here is the readout when just sitting idle. I didn't drive it yesterday, only started.

That voltage with the engine running is NOT normal. Your charging system has a fault (as the warning said) so you need to get it to a dealer.

No - the alternator should provide between 12.7v and as much as 15v but never as low as that. It has to provide more than 12.6v or it can never charge the battery! Smart charging system do vary the voltage and charge rate but that is not normal.

Not unless you cut through the alternator wires to fit them!

Chances are good, once you replace the battery it’ll show normal.

Doesn't explain 11v when running. At no point should an alternator ever put out that low voltage, plus there is a warning to say a charging system fault. Even if the battery was foobar when the engine is running it should be over 12.7v.

One and the same when the engine is running. It is not possible for them to be different as it is all one circuit.
