Holy crap I read your post wrong. I thought you said subframe alignment HASN'T been an issue on these cars. So would it be possible to fix the car as is? Or would you go ahead and just get this alignment kit.
I personally would check the alignment first. I still think its most likely camber.

Just know that when you lower the car it will mean getting another alignment that from a good shop that specializes in lowered and track alignments. If you go down that road you will need camber plates and I'd consider doing the subframe kit then. Just be warned it is a monumental pain in the ass to find a shop that 1 - knows what they are doing, and 2 - is willing to align a lowered car. If you go down that

I went to 4 different shops with my lowered Mach 1 and is was freaking hell dealing with that crap. Never again will I do that.

Exact reason I plan to just get the ford performance springs and be done. I haven’t read that I would need camber plates I hope not.

Doubtful the dealer caused it. Besides its unlikely to prove. Subframe alignment has been an issue on these cars for years from the factory.
If the dealer dropped my subframe and they just screwed the bolts back in without actually aligning it I could pin it on them and get them to fix it lol.

Anytime you lower the car, you WILL need camber plates. Otherwise you won't be able to adjust the camber to spec and youll be complaining how your tires poke out more on one side and wear funny. I strongly suggest you do some research and ask yourself what you want to achieve before going down this road.

Good luck with that.

I’ll see if I can locate a good shop to do an alignment and then when I lower do camber plates alignment kit and springs all at once. Sound like a good route?

Just to show why I said I don’t know if I will need camber plates. I found a guy who lowered on ford performance springs and didn’t use them. Getting the camber plates can’t hurt I’m sure. I’m near the famous Triangle speed shop I’m sure they have recommendations for where I can get an alingment.

Rear camber is off... most of these are off from the factory... mine had 1.1 on one side and 1.9 on the other. With 305 tires it was glaringly obvious... after an alignment, all is 👍.

Edit... I also did the subframe line up kit before the alignment as well.

See my edit... I also did the subframe line up kit.
Dang it. I have a shop nearby that does alignment checks for free I’ll see if they can get it with just how it is stock.
