So i was emailed that my 24 GT PP NPP was in production one 6/1. It is 6/17 and still no word as to how far along or if it was delayed or any of that. Does anyone know about how long it will take for it to be in production before its fully built? because again Ford has done a terrible job of keeping me updated as to any setbacks/etc.

Have you reached out to the ford chat? Usually from other threads Iā€™ve heard that they specify which part of the production line a vehicle is in

I can think of at least four factors:

- Production can take as long as two weeks. Receipt and coordination of parts, weekends, Holidays, the schedule itself, etc. Ten days to two weeks is common

- Yes, Ford's systems, the ones that update clients, are not real-time. Updates can lag by a few days

- Something might have been seen while in production, something which needs correcting. Could be minor or significant. Better to be repaired before leaving (factory) than in the field (dealer)

- The west coast is currently backlogged at several ports in CA, influenced by on-going labor disputes. I have not read any specific stories of any vehicle manufacturer delays. This topic is an outlier. Something in the ether which could influence anyone receiving parts, supplies and materials from the Far East

Once you clear production, it's not unusual to spend up to two weeks waiting for a train to leave Flat Rock. Along the journey to the dealer, shippers consolidate their trains and trucks, joining as many vehicles to the same destination as possible. It won't be a linear, constant journey, but one of fits and starts.

ā€œIn Productionā€ starts when your order is sent to the plant, it is not the day it starts down the production line.
Once the plant gets it, then they figure out/arrange all the pieces and parts for your car.
Then they pick the Blend date, which is when it goes down the line.
After that, it can go to other places for final things, like a black painted roof. It can sit for days in between steps like that.
Then it gets a final inspection.
Then it is Released, to shipper.

I believe it doesnā€™t change from ā€œIn Productionā€ to ā€œBuiltā€, until this point.

You can the Blend date on the top of the window sticker. Donā€™t be fooled by the date at the bottom, it is the ā€œIn Productionā€ date (at least that is what it has been for my ā€˜22 Maverick and ā€˜23 Escape).

Since we have not reached OKTB yet, nothing will ship, maybe that explains why status does not change.

Just random but related as well.. The miracle that is a car production plant is something every car person should see. I grew up around Ford plants as my grand parents were career Ford people. Rouge Assembly does tours of the F-150 plant. To watch the specific parts just arrive and come to the line at just the right time is fascinating. We do take for granted the process and logistics that is building a vehicle.

So we essentially had the same exact built (gt, pp, np). My reccommendation is to check the Ford Chat. Also showed "in production" on 6/1 originally.

I checked a couple days ago with Chat, and they told me it was in the "Trimline Phase". After this phase it 's considered "produced".

But, because you have the NP, And the pp with spoiler (in my case also the stripes), it will then go to the mod center for those additions. Which can take 1 to 2 weeks. Then finally waiting for delivery.

Ford has been horrendous as far as emails go, so its always good to just check thr Ford Chat.

Personally, im expecting it no later than the end of July, and thats strictly because idk how long it will take to be delivered after its complete.

I also have an Escape on order and the tracker has never updated. Check the Last Updated date. My dealer said the car was produced on the 7th and is awaiting shipment. (Escape not Dark Horse)

Which ford chat are you guys using? I did the ford performance chat and they weren't able to tell me anything other than that it was in production. He also told me they haven't started working on a power pack for the 24s... yet

My F-150 was built at the Rouge and when I finally make my trip to Detroit for the auto show that's on my bucket list to tour that facility. I find the entire automobile assembly process fascinating.

Iā€™m in the same boat. But i asked my dealer and he told me that the carā€™s been built, itā€™s just waiting on transportation. Ford chat told me the same thing. The tracking system is definitely lackluster but at least we get one šŸ˜…

I live in Saint Louis and we are planning on lightening the load on CA ports soon. A study was done and it was determined that it would be around 60% cheaper to take a specialized container ship through the Panama canal and up the Mississippi river instead of dropping the load off in CA and trucking it across the county. The project has already been approved and should be done around the 4th quarter of 2024. Saint Louis and Detroit are both centrally located and we already have rail systems linking Saint Louis and Detroit running through the new port's construction site. It also has immediate access to I-55 for trucking purposes if they don't want to do rail. For these reasons I see Saint Louis taking some if not all of that automotive container business in the future.

I don't see why they wouldn't use rail after dropping load off in California. I would bet that with all the high tax state and money grabbing there it might very well cheaper to go the canal and Misssippi route.

Mine went into production on 6/2. In production - produced 6/8. But I just received that 45 day update from ford saying thereā€™s been a delay. Iā€™m not sure how accurate that is but I was given 6/27 as an eta.
