you'll want to change out the rear gears out. If you're driving a non performance package automatic trans car, upgrading to the 3.55 from the 3.15s will make acceleration feel much better.
I wouldn't describe it as "MUCH better". Beyond that, from what I have read, going from the 3.15 to the 3.55 in the 2024 A10 is far more than just a ring and pinion change ... $$$

Just buy the whole pumpkin and its simple

I wouldn't drive a 3.15 geared car again, even if I went FI. It's too sluggish off the line

Why are you buying a car you have no clue about?
Did you do any research on the Mustang?
Test drive one?
Ask the dealer questions about the car you are buying?
You should do these things and more BEFORE you buy a car, any car.
So I ask you, what made you buy the Mustang?
As someone who works in the parts industry l, I can confirm the amount of people who don't even know the engine their car came with is around 40-50%. Some people don't even know what BRAND their car is and don't even care to learn anything other than the colour of their car... I'd say OP knows more than most folks.

Try the Track Apps... see what the 0 - 60 time is. If it's more than 5 sec., you may have a problem.

Sounds like guy has probably never owned a V8 and is misinterpreting low-rpm torque of turbocharged small engines as being faster because it feels that way in low speed daily driving
It's more than a feeling if you're lugging the V8. Rev it out and you'll love it.
Mainly why I got the Ecoboost... just feels faster around town with the lower rpm torque for a (sunny) daily driver.

Love my 24 had it about 7 months though from day 1 the throttle response was horrid, punch it and there is a 500ms delay. After that she takes off like a beast. I have since gotten use to it though I am hoping a tune will get rid of the lag.
Other than that, the damn software update today knocked out my tire pressure display. Checked in FORScan and it is enabled so not sure whats going on there

Same for my daily vert. Though, at some point I might want to supercharge a coyote for pissing gas on the weekends. Honestly, there could be OP's solution, a whipple supercharger makes their car insanely fast.

Sometimes you just have to go full send.

It’s probably what others are suggesting. NA V8 with lots of mass, vs. lightweight turbo engine on a smaller vehicle and AWD. The latter will be quicker around town and off the line. It can use its power more efficiently, at low speeds.

I drove an AWD 911 recently, and at nearly 600 lbs lighter (than a GT500 CFTP, which is what I have) with gobs of torque vectoring traction, mashing the accelerator is hilarious fun at low speeds.

When I take people for a ride in the 500, I adopt a different strategy, I always have the car and tires up to temp first, and usually just slowly roll up to 5k rpm in 1st (max torque), letting engine sound build and then just suddenly punch it. Tires typically will hold traction and it’s just a rocket ship with an orchestra. At that point the 911 gets left in the dust.

Short story, the V8 mustang variants are best warmed up and revving to enjoy them to its maximum. Many people (understandably) don’t quite get into driving characteristics, usable power and traction characteristics that much. It takes some experience to actually appreciate the differences too.

They are heavy, too. All mustangs would benefit from a diet.

Feeling heavy and like it’s taking forever to gain speed are subjective statements, but I just don’t see how anyone could use that description when driving my car (GT PP). Unless you’re using an electric vehicle or a pretty substantial sports car as a benchmark, I don’t get how anyone could have that feeling about the GT. Again, it’s subjective, but it sounds like something may be wrong with your car; it should not feel slow compared to a Maverick.

I’ve driven the Ecoboost Mustang and it feels less responsive and not as quick off the line as my GT.

My guess is he had it in track mode thinking. Thas the highest performance. It’s not. Sport or drag is. Then he’s saying it’s not the best which it is not.

I agree that could cause someone to feel it’s not as responsive. I like track mode on the track where you’re keeping it at high RPMs and pedal to the floor for parts, but it does not feel as responsive in the first 1/4 to 1/2 of pedal travel. Track feels like much more of a linear response to me. I think it works well on the track.

yeah, he’s setting it to track mode all the time and thinking it’s the most pedal responsive. Which it is actually the least throttle responsive setting. This is operator error. Not the car.

Mine never runs in anything except track mode and it feels fast AF. Because it is.

Iā€˜m adding up 2+2 here and i keep getting 3.

GT. PP. Manual. Not disagreeing.
Just wondering HTF does this cat seem slow?
It’s not by any metric except the driver. All other factors resolved. Driver is the issue.
