It does seem to want to turn itself off after certain conditions have been met. For me it feels completely random and I can't figure out the logic behind it. The only way I've been able to keep it on 99% of the time is to run the A/C and keep the temperature set to room temp or below.
Thanks for the recommendation! I don't mind most smells if I know they're coming. I just hate that random whiff of oil burning or hot plastic that comes off other cars without warning. Lots of junkers in this town that from a distance look like they are well maintained. Always makes me panic...
Not sure if this is just me or just a characteristic of the car in general but does anyone else think their cabin air filter SUCKS? Ever since day one I've had issues with smells entering the cab unless the air intake was set to recirculate, unlike any other car I've ever driven.
I understand...
Very handsome car! Been looking for a set of those aluminum Astra Hammond louvers myself but trying to avoid the double dipping of pricing and markups and tariffs. Believe it or not those are made in Ontario Canada but most distributors are only in the US!
Phoned the manufacturer and said he...
When I dropped my plastic undertray to do my first oil change I got about 4 pounds of calcium chloride (which is basically road salt on steroids that my city has decided to use), dirt and rocks directly into my eyes. So yes if you have ever taken your Mustang for a drive on anything other than a...
I actually just got back from a 3000+ km (1900 mile) round trip to see family. I actually HAND calculated my mileage and adjusted my AFE bias to match along the way so I know I am accurate.
Highest MPG's were seen between 70-90km/h (44-56mph) in 6th running through Jasper National park at about...
We do have ASE Certification, however you have to go out of your way to get it and as it's not required most mechanics opt not to get it so finding one in Canada is like a needle in a haystack. I was kind of thinking about going for my ASE once I get my Red Seal dealt with so I could just plop...
When I first took delivery of mine it was about a quart low too stone cold. Not quite on the low dot but just above. Threw a quart in and it maybe used half of it as it broke in and stopped at around 3000 miles like the manual said. Pulled about 9.5 quarts out of it on oil change. Put 10 litres...
One thing I've noticed too is make sure you start in normal mode. If you start in a custom mode or something like slippery mode even though they still use "normal" exhaust volume like normal mode it will bypass the quiet start, unless of course you have the quiet exhaust mode started and make...
My question is, is there going to be any sort of recompense or solution from Ford for 24 thru 25.5MY owners who still have the hole? If they changed it it was obviously an issue, so for those of us who still don't have any sort of patch yet and are concerned is there going to be a way to maybe...
I think it has to do with how long the camera cannot identify the road for. Happens to me all the time during winter when there is ice on the windshield and lots of condensation inside. If the camera is having a hard time seeing the road you will usually but not always get a little yellow light...
Following. I too would also be interested to see if there's a way to get remote start working on a 401A with a 6MT via Forscan and coding a Key fob off of an automatic that has the remote start button.
Luckily they were able to squeeze me in right away before I had to get to work, though I had to get up early to go do that. Doesn't seem to be any damage outside of some minor damage inside the rim itself, looks like a rock had gotten its way in there and took a little bit of paint with it when...
Discount Tire doesn't exist here. For those wondering this was at a Kal Tire. They used to be my go to, but recently it seems they've let their standards slide massively. Figured it wouldn't be as bad since I moved to a new city but nope.
And they aren't even backwards, the wide rims are on...
Sadly seems to be a theme building these days. Everyone it seems is just okay not knowing how to do their damn job properly. I could hear the idiot moving the car in and out of the shop revving my engine like an idiot too. He's lucky it was warm still gonna tear a strip off of them for that too...
So I recently had my summer tires changed over onto the factory rims. I did specify to the tire shop that the rear rims are wider than the fronts and to fit the 275 profile tires to the wider rims in the rear.
I noticed the car seems to pull left to right over the crown of the road pretty good...
My interior panels covering the C pillar and around the rear glass rattle pretty good if the ambient temp is below 0°F. Actually hitting a good bump or entering a steep parking lot you can really hear the back glass flexing along with the chassis of the car in those temps, it's scary! I always...
It is pretty weird that the Ford software engineers had the energy to add in little details like the Fordpass app being able to pick up on not just your paint colour but also what rims you ordered from factory (my app shows my Bronze Appearance package flawlessly down to the bronze badging). And...
6MT PP cars not having a trans temp sensor makes sense to me. The AT make lots of heat under heavy load due to having a torque converter and just the nature of automatic transmissions so it's something to be monitored for sure. The rear end uses a beveled crown and pinion gear with extreme...
We are still rocking the "Springtime complimentary paintjob" up in Northern Alberta. And trust me when I say this stuff sticks back on faster than you can wash it off. Last bath was 2 days ago, headed for another after work tomorrow. 😁
(and yes, that is the city still loading the excess snow...
