Strange that it doesn’t have the DH spoiler?

Cool find.

I wouldn't be surprised to see subtle variations. We've seen similar with the Machs. Things like external lighting, wheel size, and as you noted, the spoiler. Changes could be for regulations involving fuel ratings, noise or safety standards. Packages or options could be listed using the same Ford verbiage, but the actual bits can be different.

The first years didn't come with the spoiler in the EU. I think they changed that but not sure if they now come with a spioiler. Also the GT PP don't come with the spoiler.

Thanks for sharing!

Brought back many great memories of my 3 weeks there in '85. I was quite proud of my hotshoe skills back then; by the end of the 3 weeks I'm fairly sure I'd been blown into the weeds by every Grandma in Austria! 😆 Dang, they drove fast (and well)!

We were in Europe for 2 weeks, came back last Thursday. We spent a day and night in Innsbruck, Austria. Hope you're enjoying the beautiful scenery as much as we did.

Check the EU section of the forum, the very first cars (job 1 EU's) didn't have the spoiler. From job 2 on they did which arrived a couple of weeks later.

Nothing to do with regulations or emissions. Just ford being ford

And the spoiler is different than the GT wedge spoiler here as it looks like it stops flush with the edge of the deck lid. Doesn’t overhang the top of the quarter like mine.

Mine didn't have the spoiler either. I'm not too fussed whether it has one or not.
The no spoiler one's must be Autobahn specials. So they can keep up with US spec GT's.😁

You are correct, the very first Dark Horses did not come with a spoiler. It was changed very early on to look like the advertisement pictures.

But seeing one in Austria is quite unusual, their vehicles taxes are outrageous. Did some googling, first-time registration tax is about 43,000€, yearly tax of about 4,000€, insurance >300€ every month. And the typical salaries in Austria do not match these numbers at all, whoever owns this must have a well paid job.

Germany surprisingly enough is not as bad, 700€ yearly tax and the insurance is close to 1000€ a year.
