No idea, I'm in service and heard we had the allocation from the sales manager that I am friendly with.

I know that many of you have been to college, and have taken at least Economics 101. Do you recall supply and demand? I don't know, or care, what sales sells cars for, but to have them referred to as "scum" for following a simple rule of economics is a bit much. The market sets the price, the same as with everything else we buy. Are Barrett Jackson and Sotheby's scum for auctioning items to the highest bidder?
And the 'S' in MSRP stands for suggested. The only reason that manufacturers were butthurt over markup during the pandemic is because they weren't seeing any of it. They sell us the car for a set price, and don't say anything if we lose money selling it, so it s bit hypocritical for them to get upset when we sell for over sticker.
I'm sure this will fall on deaf ears, as those of you who think this way will not change your minds. But if I told you the dollar value of parts and services that we give away each month in the name of customer goodwill, you'd call me a liar.
All I was trying to do is let fellow enthusiast know that a vehicle was coming availble.

Thanks @SSuperDave for posting this. There's no need for any negativity towards you or your dealership.

Notice how ADM wasn't as widespread and abused as heavily pre-covid as it is now?

ADM on a honda prelude? Nissan Z?

20%+ ADM? for money that goes right in the dealers pocket? Because dealers had laws passed making it illegal for manufacturers to sell cars directly to people?

Worlds smallest violin playing right now. I'd happily pay my share of $2-5k in service charges over the life of the vehicle than paying extra up front and losing money on the financing (Which dealerships make bank on too)

Are you giving away parts and services to the broke single mom who can't afford brakes on the car that gets her to three jobs, or more to the guys who have bought 3+ high value cars in the last 5 years, or those with influence and clout who will sing the praises of your service dept to their friends and drive more business in.

You act like giving the stuff away is purely altruistic and does nothing to further the business.

If dealers were that broke selling cars, maybe they should find a more honest line of work that involves real effort. Or lobby ford to increase the pricing, or dial back their extravagant buildings, or heck, even dial back 10% on their consumption of narcotics.

Cars sales/service are easy money for management. It's the purchasers and techs who get the short end of the stick.

ADM? Oh, don't worry about that. Just go with an 80 month loan or longer and it'll bring those monthly payments down to something affordable!!!
