  1. Check your swollen nuts!

The metal casing mushrooms when they are tq'd on too hard. Then they expand and no longer fit the correct size. The metal core is still good, but they can sheer off the outside then good luck getting them off. The jeep wrangler has those that do the same if they are pounded back on with an...

  3. DH manual misfire P0300/P0302/P0308 - PCM update?

Unless you just tipped out of the throttle, this is a problem. You should be in closed loop fueling unless you go into tip out DFCO for a few seconds. If this was at WOT during a pull, then you might have issues with a wideband. Your fuel trims are lopsided. Driver's side is adding more than...
  4. Flock cameras track more than your license plate, and they're spreading fast

We have them in my subdivision and we have the option to opt out. They will blur your vehicle as recordings are processed if you choose.
  5. Does 5.0 coyote performance improve with octane?

Safe bet. Even better splash some e85 in there as well and raise that up to e20 or e30. Then you will get the full potential of the stock calibration with no KR.
  6. New to me, keyfob trick... automatic window roll down

Dont quote me but I think I saw an option to enable auto roll up with forscan. Someone check me on that.
  7. Has anyone here done a DIY gear swap (10R80)?

Yes I own two S650s with each gear and the 3.55 gears are superior by far. Unless you are going to do a blower, then you might want the taller gear to help with 1st/2nd gear. But for NA cars, the 3.55s are magic compared to the 3.15s.
  8. Hidden tracking device plugged into OBD2 port

Yeah I was going to say yours isn’t one of those I was taking about.

  12. Ford Quality: from Nightmare to Dream Come True

Lots of the issues I’ve seen were from transport and at the dealer. My DH was riddled with dings and scratches from sitting in the showroom for months. Dealer messed up fixing a few of the issues on that blue ember paint and I walked away from the deal after the fact.
  13. 2025 Ecoboost electrical gremlins

Yes they had to update the modem firmware and several other controllers. Then it started working again.
  14. 2025 Ecoboost electrical gremlins

I have 4 s650 mustangs, a 24 F150 EB and a 25 Explorer ST and all of them have these kinds of quirks and are getting software updates over the air just about weekly. The Truck stopped remote starting from the app a few weeks ago. Took it to the dealer, they replaced a few modules. Had me...
  15. 2025 Ecoboost electrical gremlins

These arent electrical gremlins, these are software bugs. Ford is rolling out infotainment and other controller updates over the air to fix a lot of these. Just be patient. There are no electrical problems in your car. Just a rushed to market product with beta bugs that need to get worked out.
  16. Ford Quality: from Nightmare to Dream Come True

Ford quality on my brand new 26 Smurf GT.
  17. Summertime tire pressures - what counts as "cold" for setting tire pressure

I wait until the next morning then set them to 30. Then just let them do what they want day to day. Only when they start showing less than 30 the next morning after sitting all night, will I redo them back to 30.
  18. Apples to apples S650 dyno numbers stock/93tune/e85 tune. 10R80

Thank you. And yes exactly just using this to see the gains is all you can really do. I usually NEVER get into dyno tuning or dyno number comparing. Its almost always a losing fight because someone always has a higher number from another hero run on another dyno in sub 0 DA on a cold car and...
