Anyone have thoughts/feels on using the stage 2 whipple tune with the stage 1->2 upgrade kit, versus going with a tune from say PBD or Wengerd?
Upgrade parts look like: 112mm TB, 3.75 6 rib griptec pulley (might not need griptec for my application), CF intake tube, lethal/kooks 1.75" headers...
Glad to hear about another dark horse owner enjoying their experience.
Do you plan to delete the cats? Hopefully the newest tune revision from whipple lets you skip the headache I’ve had.
I got my letter for it today. It's for the Intake Air temperature sensor.
No parts available yet
Here we are in 2026 and Ford can't figure out IAT sensors, or how to have the ECU handle it not working.
Glad quality is job #1 at ford again.
Got a P219B code on my whipple.
Apparently whipple has an updated calibration to address this, but they chose not to notify me, neither did FP or the dealer that installed it that it was available.
Kinda annoyed there's not just been multiple tune revisions, but that I don't get any heads up...
First-half Mustang sales surged 22% to 28,725 vehicles, outselling its nearest non-premium competitor sevenfold.
Funny how ford compares itself to this market segment despite having left it.
I wonder what the competitor was, the new Z that’s picking up sales now that it’s heavily discounted?
Why does it even matter. You’re buying the most popular every day man sports car. It has a fixed number of choices for options. They sell 6,000 a month.
In Canada fords website lets you search inventory based on how you built it but just because your configuration doesn’t exist in inventory...
We still don’t know what gear they were in.
Also did OP flash back to stock to rule out their “pops n bangs” tune being part of the issue?
Finally if you’re going to void the warranty with a tune especially one that will stress your expensive cats, and care enough about performance to dyno...
I really like that ford does this by software. Price is pretty fair considering you get a "warranty" which is more than you'd get from most of the aftermarket.
Good bump in torque where you're going to notice it most, almost enough horsepower that it'll feel faster for the $850 spent.
BMW...
Nice build! Did you utilize the oil temperature sensor port on the new oil pan and put an aftermarket oil temperature gauge in the car so you know the actual oil temperature?
Did your rotor fall off?
Some cars use a single set screw to hold the rotor in place. After that the wheel and lug nuts fully secure the rotor to the hub.
With the brake pads and brake caliper in place, the rotor isn't coming off willingly.
SC and GTD have a different front bumper/grille and pack in more/larger heat exchangers.
There is little technology to "trickle down". the GTD/SC had their thermal systems designed to accommodate the additional power being made.
As an example, the C8 ZR1 corvette has 13 heat exchangers, and...
Go fearmonger elsewhere sheep.
And yes, there is no one true leader like one who attempts to jail his political opponents, Especially when dear leader funds operation warp speed that created the thing dr you know who you used to inflict all the harm you claim.
Because ford removed the easy access door on the dork horse, and I don't feel like dealing with 12+ fasteners to get the undertray off.
Plus there's usually a bunch of other shit that ford needs to fix at the same time anyway, so whatevs.
I've owned a lot of cars, a 6.4L SRT JGC being one of them. it sounded alright but the mustang sounds much better. I had a 2014 ZL1 as well, and yeah, the mustang still sounds better.
Outside of a mercedes/AMG V8, The coyote v8 is the best sounding attainable v8 on the market. Ford did an...
I have the NT555G2s, not sure if its because it doesn't get hot enough here, but they suck for me on my streets. Even on 25c+ days they're not great. Right now I have some Continental winters on the car, 255 square, and they seem to control better under abuse than the NT555G2s. I have 305's...
Thanks for the 8th grade civics lesson? I glossed over the specifics because admins on this site get mad at anyone speaking against conservatives. Your post reads like AI slop.
