  1. New rims (or not)

My new American Racing Mach Five 19x11 +50 showed up today Shop mounted my new Nankang AR-1's on them Yeahhhhhhh Definitely not +50 offset like it said on the box, more like 20. I asked the shop if we could just stack spacers until the void in the tire lined up with the lip of my fender...
  2. New Tire Compound Reformulation For Califonia (2029) = Less Grip

wah? You can still buy what you like now until 2033. "I don't know what this is, I can only assume what it means, and boy does it make me angry" Better start stockpiling UHP All-seasons and finding a way to keep the rubber from degrading in storage.
  3. Stage 2 whipple vs aftermarket tunes

Got the hardware installed today, was pretty easy. Car is incredibly fast. I think I'm ordering the open air box to help the engine breathe better. Was really surprised at how much faster the car got, but maybe part of it was how nasty my air filters were. I just banged them out and a ton of...
  4. 2024 Mustang Dark Horse — Whipple Stage 1, 10R80 — Persistent flutter/stutter + downshift clunk. Anyone seen this? (Taking it to Ford next week)

Ok My understanding is: Don't lug the motor. Seeing knock retard in 8th/9th when going into boost is pretty normal. Your motor doesn't like it, don't do it. Second, You really shouldn't be frequently going into boost in anything past 7th. The transmission from factory isn't physically...
  5. Stage 2 whipple vs aftermarket tunes

Ok so I've ordered the complete stage 2 whipple upgrade kit. I am pretty sure I'm buying the LTH 1-7/8" long tubes w/ EcoF cats because I don't want the noise/rasp/stank and keeping my stock active exhaust. Any reason I absolutely positively should get the kooks version?
  6. Ford Says It Makes 500 hp, Four Different Dynos Give Four Different Results

C&d had it at 11.7 in the quarter mile at 120. This is far more plausible for a stock m2. If it has less hp but weighs the same how is it pulling on the mustang? The advertised hp for all cars conforms to a standard and is at the crank. This is not hard to understand. Some makers will have...
  7. Introducing Ford AI Assistant in the Ford App 📱

I guess this is easier and far more cost effective than making a usable app or paying taxes to fund schools so people have critical thinking skills. Can’t wait for ford to add a subscription model to pay for the AI tokens this app uses. 👎
  8. Ford Says It Makes 500 hp, Four Different Dynos Give Four Different Results

Stupid click bait headline with the actual truth half way through the article after a dozen ads, that dynos are only useful to measure a gain after modifications are made assuming you have a baseline.
  9. Stage 2 whipple vs aftermarket tunes

Anyone have thoughts/feels on using the stage 2 whipple tune with the stage 1->2 upgrade kit, versus going with a tune from say PBD or Wengerd? Upgrade parts look like: 112mm TB, 3.75 6 rib griptec pulley (might not need griptec for my application), CF intake tube, lethal/kooks 1.75" headers...
  10. I love my Dark Horse

Glad to hear about another dark horse owner enjoying their experience. Do you plan to delete the cats? Hopefully the newest tune revision from whipple lets you skip the headache I’ve had.
  11. Another recall? 26E04 - Powertrain Control Module Software Update

I got my letter for it today. It's for the Intake Air temperature sensor. No parts available yet Here we are in 2026 and Ford can't figure out IAT sensors, or how to have the ECU handle it not working. Glad quality is job #1 at ford again.
  12. Whipple P219B code

Got a P219B code on my whipple. Apparently whipple has an updated calibration to address this, but they chose not to notify me, neither did FP or the dealer that installed it that it was available. Kinda annoyed there's not just been multiple tune revisions, but that I don't get any heads up...
  13. Mustang Sales Surged 22% in Q2 2026

First-half Mustang sales surged 22% to 28,725 vehicles, outselling its nearest non-premium competitor sevenfold. Funny how ford compares itself to this market segment despite having left it. I wonder what the competitor was, the new Z that’s picking up sales now that it’s heavily discounted?
  14. Dark Horse - Dashboard Unique Tag number

    lol numerology.
  15. 1 of 1

Why does it even matter. You’re buying the most popular every day man sports car. It has a fixed number of choices for options. They sell 6,000 a month. In Canada fords website lets you search inventory based on how you built it but just because your configuration doesn’t exist in inventory...
  16. Dyno Results - 2024+ Mustang GT (Pop & Bang Tune Only, No Performance Tune)

We still don’t know what gear they were in. Also did OP flash back to stock to rule out their “pops n bangs” tune being part of the issue? Finally if you’re going to void the warranty with a tune especially one that will stress your expensive cats, and care enough about performance to dyno...
  17. Dark Horse- What did you Mod today?

Nadda, whipple is all I need. Got my summers back on. Those Nitto 555g2's aren't gonna last long
  18. Ford Performance Calibration Tune now available for 2025 2.3L EcoBoost engine

I really like that ford does this by software. Price is pretty fair considering you get a "warranty" which is more than you'd get from most of the aftermarket. Good bump in torque where you're going to notice it most, almost enough horsepower that it'll feel faster for the $850 spent. BMW...
  19. Introducing WARHORSE: Dark Horse build

Nice build! Did you utilize the oil temperature sensor port on the new oil pan and put an aftermarket oil temperature gauge in the car so you know the actual oil temperature?
