Any Ideas!!!
I have a 2024 Ford Mustang GT: MODS-Corsa HH Pipe, two 1in Steeda Throttle Body Spacers, swapped stock air filters with K&N Filters… so my question is… with those mods, in the North Mississippi Heat and Humidity, I run 11.4Sec 1/4 miles, pretty consistently, with the air intake boxes open… I have now closed them and I now run 1Sec slower… everything I’ve been reading is you get more HP and TQ with them closed… any one else seeing this happen? Or any info or help would be amazing!!!

.1 second all other things being equal?
open works well on a dyno but closed will overta it at speed w/ forced air or ram air.

Oh Forsure I feel you.
These runs are out on a track… and I’ll run 11.4sec 1/4miles, with them open… then with them closed I be running 12.5sec on the track. So it’s confusing.

There is something else at play here and it's not closed vs. opened air boxes. The delta between open closed is 1.1 seconds which cannot be achieved by opening the air boxes even if the air entering was the same as closed which is impossible with under hood temps. Something else is causing this delta and it is not the air boxes.

Takes way bigger changes to get to 1.1 second delta (HP Speaking).

Yeah I can’t seem to figure it out. I do my runs around the same times and temps outside. I need to get it on a dyno.
And to make matters even more… fun… LoL… I just put on two soler performance 90mm throttle bodies.

The 2024 GTs have snorkels leading to the front grille specifically to draw in cooler air. Open air boxes in the engine cover draw in much hotter air. Ever held you hand over the hood vent after a run? 1.1 second difference I call BS. Not by doing just that. Change air flow through the induction runners by taking some of the crap out - maybe, maybe. Just open boxes? Nah - that's BS We have done this on dynos - no measurable difference and certainly not 1.1. Noooo frickin' way - you have data contamination.

There could be data contamination Forsure. I’ll need to get it hooked up for better reading. That’s some good insight. I’ll keep that in mind on my next runs!
