You can always change out the OEM AE for an aftermarket AE down the road if you want a different noise/tone. I with some of the others on here and never really knew how much I would like it until I had it. I have already take the car on a road trip (literally the day I got it) and after about an...
Yes. I couldn’t figure out another way to block payments/purchases while keeping the posting public.
Once I have the production started, I will open sales. The first 50 orders will be $150 and then $175 after that. Should be in the next two weeks.
I have to very carefully exit my driveway for it to not scrape. Slowly and at a very sharp angle. Mine is right off the center.
My driveway is the slanted curb style.
With the test filters (same media but different dimensions) we had ~ 0.75 inches WC less pressure drop at 375 CFM.
The issue with changing shape is a lot of CFD modeling went into the oem airbox design. I don’t have the resources to reevaluate a shape change. Cost would have to increase...
A while back I made a post asking about interest level for new air filters for the Mustang GT. Long story short, I decided to bring another option to market due to not being happy with what is available. Please take a look and keep this option in mind when it is time to replace your air filters...
I would also look into independent insurance agents. I shop around often for rates and didn’t find much of a difference but the independent agent I contacted found a lot larger of a difference when getting rates for me and had better coverage since I really didn’t know what each option was for...
As far as the filter goes, that is not realistic for anything decent. The paper oe equivalent filters from Wix are nearly $40 per.
As @Skye mentioned, last gen was $97 per filter through Ford Performance.
I wanted to get some data regarding interest in reusable oil free or dry filter replacements for the OEM intakes. I am not interested in aftermarket intakes given the lack of tuning, cost for two intakes, and the only one on market removing the closed boxes. I doubt there is much performance to...
I had 2 issues with android and 1 issue with apple using wireless. I have not had an issue with either when wired in. I have not had any issues with the 17.3.1. I connect in my garage with wifi on every time and have music playing before putting it in reverse.
The one issue I had was carplay...
I guess it is a lot easier to adjust the hood versus remove the bumper cover and realigning it. I still do not understand why dealers don't adjust this before you get there. It took me 15 minutes with watching the video.
The whole nose cone fitment issue is interesting. Mine car was off on both sides. It looked like the hood was unlatched slightly. A quick adjustment and it looks great.
For ones with only a corner off, is it the bumper that is misfitted and you are adjusting the hood at an angle on one corner...
I went with the auto. I have never bought an auto. My parents gave me the 01 Silverado that I daily. I have really appreciated the auto in Denver traffic.
My biggest reasons to go with an auto were:
1) Wife can more easily drive an auto
2) I will daily the car in nice weather
3) Auto can hold...
Having port and direct on the V8s may wash the back of the valves but no matter what fuel you use, carbon build us is an issue with DI. Cleaning valves is not a fun process.
I will have to take a look through 6g to see if this has been documented by now. Would be awesome to get some pictures...
I tried making the same point. While the touchscreen may take some getting used to it's pretty easy to operate. Like a phone not having a keyboard. I still use the swc on my Xterra without a touchscreen so I don't have to take my hands off the steering wheel or my eyes off the road.
Plenty of cars have buttons on the steering wheel without having touchscreens. Screens are cheaper to design around since they can use the same one or at least the same CPU and coding for all vehicles. Buttons required specific components to fit. It is a cost savings thing.
I have never had a...
