I don't have a VIN, It's a little different for specialty cars like Dark Horse, they are manually allocated. My dealership got 3 for the year. They pulled their first one in June for August build, but could not schedule one with the Handling Package, so my order got skipped. I'm hoping the next allocation can build with the HP, I have no idea when they will get their second allocation. I'm hoping October or November, since they haven't built the HP from December through March historically on the Mach 1, due to temps being to cold for the Cup 2 tires. I assume the Trofeo RS tires will have the same limitation.

I was prepared for the wait after following the Mach 1 sagas from 2021 until now, but it doesn't make it suck less that if I dont get built by December, I'll probably be well over a year from ordering to receiving the car.

You do have a confirmation email from Ford confirming your order was placed, right?

Yeah got it on March 27 about 15 minutes after i ordered it. My dealership already scheduled one, just couldn't do a handling pack car, said i could drop it and get scheduled for August or wait. I waited, he said may be next year before they get another allocation.

I'm just surprised they were able to order it without an allocation. If I'm understanding it right.

Dealers were told how many Dark Horse allocations to expect in the 24 MY. They can take that many orders and even ask for more. They don't receive them all at once. My dealer was told they will get the 3 throughout the year. They pulled the first one in June, they have 2 more DH cars in the bank unscheduled including mine. Hoping they get their next of the 3 allocations soon.

There are pics of the message dealers got with the expected Dark Horse allocations on this forum somewhere. All dealers got at least 1, some got more.

They also stated they would build 1 for every dealer before doing second allocations for anyone. Don't know how long that will take, but I probably have at least that long to wait.

I don’t understand how ford picks and chooses Which cars to build first. There are a lot of us that have been waiting months for ours to be built

This whole thing has been very irritating. Because of the dealer I used when I order June 7 and they put the code down wrong until I found this group. I didn’t know that I was supposed to get an acknowledgment email, So I called Ford and come to find out our dealer, had the wrong code down so that threw me off by eight weeks. But there’s people still getting theirs built before some of us but have had ours ordered longer. I don’t wanna have to wait until next year for mine. I have been looking all over on the Internet trying to find what I have ordered or at least close to it. No luck. Trying to find a manual convertible with everything we want on it it’s not working out real good.

What priority code were you? I ordered mine June 7, but they put down the code wrong so when I went back and had them change it to the right code that was the end of July, so it threw me back eight weeks and mine is still waiting to be built. They even change my priority code from 19 to 10
I had the dealer move me to a 19 as he was putting in the order

What did he have you at? Mine changed me from 19 to 10 after screw up and still didn’t help
Priority codes are just for cars in the order bank at that particular dealership. If you're the only Mustang on order at that dealer the code won't make much difference. Mine was 11 and I was picked up this past week. My salesman called his Ford rep and after previewing my order said it would get picked up, which it did. I question if your dealer actually has an allocation, or if they're BSing you. I would be suspicious!

Just got the dreaded email today.
Thank you again for your MustangDark Horse order. We wanted to let you know that we are still up against supply chain challenges, which are causing delays with getting your vehicle into production. While we understand how frustrated you may be (we are too), rest assured, our team is working diligently and aggressively to get you behind the wheel.

We know how much anticipation there is when it comes to getting a new Ford, so we will continue to keep you updated. In the meantime, we apologize for any inconvenience and remain grateful for your patience and understanding.
My next (3rd) auto email is due next week. I used Ford Chat today and got the status of "Accepted for order processing, but Unscheduled".

Well, there's always next week, and the next, and the one after that, LOL!

I have talked to them at ford and they have my order. She said you ordered July 31. I said NO, I ordered June 7th. July 31 was when I went back up there and they corrected their mistake.
Ur I am good now. I really don’t need mine until after November 1st so can get $700-900 off car price. Things work out
