Model year 2027 (MY27) will start production this time next year in 2026. Considering one of the biggest drawbacks so far this generation is the cooling I can see it being a key focus for a mid-gen refresh, but we'll see
Please God, No, not Dark Horse Boss.
I can just see it. What d'you drive? A Dark Horse mumble mumble..................
I already think the name Dark Horse is a little weird considering all the cool historical names they could have used.

But putting "Dark Horse" in front of every specialty trim badge would be seriously lame.
Maybe it's just the Dark Horse replacement. Bullet, Mach 1, Dark Horse... Not one was longer available then four years if I'm not mistaken.

It's also supposed to be 'limited' so the run has to end at some point... Why not replacing it with something that has a little bit more to offer over the GT...
I've been banging this drum too. It would make a lot more sense.

fair but the "Dark Horse" brand is what they're rallying their motorsports brand behind, the Nascar is a Dark Horse livery, the GT3 sports the "Dark Horse" badge, the GT4 is just a modified Dark Horse, then there's the Dark Horse R. this isnt just some Shelby knockoff or random name they want to slap on a top end GT, its a new line theyre trying to push (like the Boss origin in TA) so i doubt they are going to abandon this one anytime soon

So the Dark Horse is Ford’s new M line? M competition, M comp X drive, M240i, M sport, etc? So we’ll see all sorts of DH variants. Dark Horse Boss, Dark Horse Mach 1, Dark Horse etc?

Thankfully they didn't go with Pale Horse.

I just re-read this old article stating that Ford filed for BOSS in the US and DarkHorse BOSS in Europe...

That would mean the dark horse will be succeeded by a BOSS, at least in the US. However, looking at the logo I have a feeling the German fashion company HUGO BOSS could and most likely would sue them into oblivion... Hence the new name DH Boss.

Anyhow, I think BOSS is far more likely than DarkHorse Boss ...
