Sub is out of stock on Scuma'zon

Going to a local audio shop to get a "total" refresh on the shit Ford audio system that I had to pay for 🙄

Amp, Sub, speakers, and a new "REAL alarm system" along with front and rear 24/7 dash camera system ... to record little scum bags trolling the car in public...🤣

I wrapped my box in carpet & wired it to an AMP. Difference is night & day. Going to do a 4 channel & bypass my B&O System soon

Nice! this was the first mod I did to my ’17 Raptor. How much amp did you put in?

Just did a mono 1600W Pioneer Amp. Going to add a Taramps 400W Amp next
Where did you grab your input signal for the LOC from

Did you use the rear speakers, or take it from the factory sub output

Signal from rear sub wiring (only need one set from the dual voice coil) into the active LOC with bass roll off correction

I got the OEM wiring diagram so I was able to then wire the OEM connector plug out of the amp output back into the sub (plug and play)

You sure the signal in each of the two original sub lines are mono'd and thus the same?
If not, drums and bass instruments are not always placed in the center, so you'll miss sometimes something.

They’re the same. Bass hits pretty good. Regardless, once I do the B&O bypass, I’ll have signal directly from the ACM split into a front / rear / bass channel. This was just a temporary install to get better bass & correct the roll off

Now that I have the DH in the garage I see what you guys are talking about with the sub. I feel like my S550 also suffered from this but it has been eons since I was in my 20s and had dual 10" subs in a box pumping out Bass Tunes to set off car alarms as I drove by so my ear for audio isn't what it once was.

Is there a direct swap where you don't need to cut the speaker housing with tin snips or order fancy plugs? Something that literally just hot swaps in?

If Jersey wasn't so damn far away; I'd come over and pay you do do mine! 😉

PS: Looks great! 👍

I just did the pioneer upgrade. Its all connected and the speaker works. I hear the bass when i open the trunk and hear it from there. In the car no. The fromt door speakers still give 10x more bass. I test the sub by putting all sound to the back on the fader. I guess i should expedt to hear bass? Lol.
for instance when i move the fader to the middle its wayyyyyy more bass. I know the fromt speakers are right there. But they overwhelm the sub. Its supposed to be like this?

Yeah, it kinda is, the stereo favors the front stage heavily

you’ll probably need to add an amp an LC2I IIRC

Thanks. Ill look into getting the back ones replaced with amp for then and the sub. Infeel like the sound is isolated still but it is overall. Better with the replacement sub
