so, good news, Ford has removed the reduced capacity amp from the order guide all together, which in combination with the lack of a reduced capacity amplifier part likely means that Ford has scrapped the idea all together

Thanks Rocket, always better to have an Audio System with some quality and grunt, AND at least I will be able to blow my speakers out now - if I am ever stupid enough ! lol

Thanks @roket ! Great information. This has already confirmed at least a few modifications I wanted to do going from S550 to S650. Is there any indication in the eCat about sway bar geometry? Looking to understand if I can get something beefier already offered for the S550s without having to wait.

the part numbers for all the sway bars are pre-2024, there are no new sway bars

just for fun i looked at how much a replacement shift knob for the Dark Horse would be, it's part number PR3Z-7213-AB
it's $611 USD retail!!!

that little piece of metal costs as much as if not more than most tires!

yet more info i found on ECat, might not be as many points this time, it's getting hard to find things new that people might actually care about
1. oil pump seems to be a new part (starts with PR3Z), wonder if they fixed the issue with them shattering when hitting the rev limiter? it's only ~$100
2. short blocks are ~$3200 and long blocks are ~$6200 for the Coyote
3. new flywheel for the manual transmissions
4. for some weird reason, manual transmission PCMs are $100 cheaper than automatic transmission ones
5. looks like EcoBoosts have a new air filter (part starts with PR3Z)
6. Ford's internal systems are just as janky as the stuff they make for public use
7. Ford officially calls the resonator the "front muffler"
8. diagrams of the speaker setups
6 speaker (3 is convertible, 4 is coupe)

9 speaker (5 is convertible, 6 is coupe)

12 speaker (5 is convertible, 6 is coupe)

Is it just me or does going from 9 to 12 only add one speaker? Or do you get both #5 and #6?

So it's actually a 10 speaker. Either way, only speaker I care about is the the one under the hood

The speakers are 2 way coaxial on the 12 vs a regular 1 way speaker in that position on the 9, meaning you get a woofer and a tweeter in each position. I actually was curious about that myself and looked up b&o site on it (This is the S550 diagram, but I assume it is similar)

yep, it is. well, it's actually behind the front of the passenger fender liner, but that is behind the passenger corner grill. for some reason it's also rotated 45 degrees.

Ford must've heard our cries about underpowered batteries, because all 2024+ Mustangs will have BAGM-48H6-760, a 760 CCA AGM battery. a welcome jump from the old 590 CCA battery
