Whilst the camo certainly makes it appear the car doesn't have a much larger grille, that's something that could easily be mocked up by some padding behind the camo. I wouldn't want to call that one until we see the car in much lighter camo.

I was watching a video about a Tesla that hit a cop car and an automotive expert they spoke to had an interesting drawing on the wall behind him.

Could this be a sketch of the S650?

It aligns with my thoughts around the front-end scoops being much larger than some have assumed. I would much prefer lines like this that mimic the GT500, vs Mach1/350 lines that look like every other car with scoops right now.

I do like the way the front end looks in the drawing.

Absolutely. I don't like the trend of oversized grilles, Audi and BMW are already going way too far on that. The S550 already had a lot of the grille meshes actually blocked off since it was just for the visuals. Just like fake exhausts, I just can't stand fake air intakes. Even the GT500 got fake vents next to the headlights.

You have these really sporty cars that deliver awesome performance, but somebody always decided it would look better if they slap on fake racerboy stuff.
I think one of the reasons why this is the case, it because many of the younger designs coming from these design schools are taught to make everything really bold, and in your face or else it isn't good design, at least according to the teachers. Having visited the Art center college of design, I can say many of the designs are wtf levels of weird. Then these people go to work for Honda, designing the next gen civic, and that's how you end up with something like the last gen civic type r.

Never know, they could have taken a second look at it . The S550 already had 2 faces, and the s650 has already been described as less of a shake-up and more of a refresh.
Sir, I'd like to inform you that you have the best profile name of anyone on any forum ever.

Absolutely. They could easily just add some padding to make up lines under the camo that aren't there.

yes, the Camaro needs less lines. :)
Japan-influenced design of the last 30 years is unfortunately just plain Gundam robot crap. The Samurai / Garden / Natural Flow ethos died with the previous generation. When Bohsoh-Zoku is "cool" the designers just need to be tossed into the volcano to appease the gods.

This is a generational problem IMO and only slowly will design sense be restored one Genkotsu at a time from a wizened, frail master in his 80's.

Don't forget those bumps and hood peak could be nothing more than foam pieces Ford pu there on purpose to mislead curious eyes. They have done it before.

The way the camo hugs, I'm really thinking we're going to have some variation of what's already been released. Just more "pockety/scoopy" like a mustang front end.

True, you can only make out the basic proportions and shape, and even that's a stretch.
