Got into my '24 Mustang this morning, and a screen popped up telling me I had received another update, replete with version number! Only this time, the colors did not change nor did the chimes. And, I noticed the stop/start feature (?) was already switched off! I wonder if others have gotten an update OR OR ABOUT 5-2/3-26?

Just checked the app says I got this yesterday, didn’t notice anything new. Will look for the ASS setting next time I drive it

Got that one 3/19.
Now my ability to edit my customized mode is gone.

Got this one today... One item that is obvious is if the stereo is on, opening the door IMMEDIATELY silences the audio.
No more is there a delay.

Good job Ford.

Will the updates continue when the 3/36 warranty expires? Will Ford charge after that for an update via the service department? In ten years will the vehicle be obsolete?

I bought my '26 in December and I haven't connected it to my home WiFi. I suppose I should, but I feel pretty good without having any updates. :)

The latest update, today, turns off the audio instantly when I open the door. No longer a delay.

I had this happen to me as well with a prior update.
I simply did a reboot of the sync system by holding volume down and right arrow on the steering wheel until the center screen went blank. Once it rebooted, I could edit my custom drive modes again.

Yes. My 2021 F150 is well past 3/36 and is still getting updates. As far as when they will stop making updates for improvements, nobody knows. However, once that day comes, Ford will continue to send updates to address recalls and issues. It is more cost effective for them to fix those things with OTA's as oppossed to paying dealers to do them.

IMO of course.

So it's connected to the cell network? Or through your phone? I haven't seen any notifications of updates but since the car is pretty new it might not have needed any yet.

Yes, through cell network... Updates are not really on any scheduled basis, just as determined by ford... I went a year from new with no updates, then a couple in a couple months, then another year with nothing. If your car is working fine, you don't need any updates anyway!
