Why did you choose an automatic over a manual.

I went with the automatic because the wife said she didn't like when I was rowing through the gears (I had two previous mustangs with a manuals). I must say now that I have driven it a bit and it seemed to have learned the way I drive I sorta like it.
After driving quite a few manual mustangs, I found a great deal on a 2019 auto Ecoboost a few years back. And while the auto was nice, I found myself bored while driving around, and lots of times I was still trying to bang the shifter around, and wondering where the shift pedal went.
Well, someone decided to total that Ecoboost, and I now have the manual Dark Horse, and man, it was like coming home again.

In 57 years of driving hot rods farm equipment trucks and motorcycles I’ve had plenty of experience shifting gears! I don’t feel I’ve anything to prove now and I’m very happy with the 10 speed automatic in my GT!!

Wife doesn't know how to drive a stick so this also did help with my decision.

I now own two vehicles which use the 10R80. The 10R80's adaptive learning (fuzzy logic, and please don't call it AI!) can be smooth as glass or as brutal as Attila the Hun, all reliant on how you drive. While you can duplicate the latter with a stick, the former is nigh on impossible! Enough said!

Had an A10 Challenger Scat Pack, traded for my M6 GT.
Only thing i dislike is having to push in the clutch to start as opposed to just pressing the brake. I have the memory seats also, so I have to wait for the seat to move forward so i can reach the clutch comfortably.
Otherwise i love my M6!

Because my GT came with it. Had I ordered a GT (which I didn't due to the estimated 6-8 month build time--pushing me into the '25 model year/price increase etc) I would have ordered a manual. Have to admit I like the A10 better than I thought I would and it is easier driving around my one horse village than my last two cars; which were both manuals.

Got tired of driving a manual all my life and was ready to give my left foot a rest, lol

I have owned both S650s manual and automatic. The 10 speed is quick and effortless and the paddles are great. My current one is a 6 speed manual and you can beat rowing thru all the 6 gears, something special about it. I like to control the car, not the car controlling me in certain occasions.

i got an auto for 7 main reasons in descending order
1. occasionally, something in my left hip gets pinched when i move it, causing lots of pain (even though im only 25)
2. i get stressed too easily when at a light in a manual
3. stop and go traffic is easier to deal with
4. it shifts very fast, and in normal and slippery, very smoothly
5. road trips are easier
6. no extra steps in the event of an emergency stop or when racing
7. if i just need to go somewhere or am just in a "just go home" mood, the auto is good for that

i am able to drive a manual reasonably well, even able to rev match downshift fairly consistently. however, reason 1 is the main reason why i got an auto. if that nerve(?) gets pinched and i had a manual, that is going to prevent me from going anywhere, because sometimes it gets pinched so bad that i just have to stop moving at all for a bit. for reason 2, i am very self conscious and getting honked at throws me off so much. i got to drive a manual Bronco a few weeks ago and stalled it and missed 1 or 2 lights because of the stress. i dont deal with stress well at all
#2 is REAL!

I drove a manual for 11 years as a daily driver. At some point I injured my sacroiliac, (why does that conjure in my mind a Three Stooges episode or Daffy Duck cartoon?). It seems I was always sitting in a slightly skewed position to operate the clutch with the manual, so my injury wouldn't resolve. My wife also didn't want to drive that car, so now with the automatic she can do that when absolutely needed. I REALLY miss it, but time to move on I guess.

It is faster, my wife could drive it if necessary.
Remote start and radar cruise control!
I want the five hours to Tennessee in comfort!

If I get another car along with this one it would be a manual.

Exactly why I got manual. None of my kids can drive it. I’ve had him since sept 2023 and only one other person has driven him, once. Don’t touch my car! 🤣🤣
i haven’t had a manual since 1998, I miss it, and I figure this is my last car, so I went with what I wanted.

Adaptive cruise control works in the M6

Today's manuals have too
many gears to be considered fun to drive (my opinion). I used to like shifting a four speed, but six would be a chore.
