What valve stem issue. I can't find any thing documenting a valve stem issue? Do you have the source that I could share with my dealer to help my claim?
The local Ford dealers here in Phoenix do not want to fix it. They just follow their service manual which is an oil consumption test and mine is normal.
I made the custom plug and play harness and plugged in at the passenger footwell. I used the Lincoln corsair cupholder. it is not a perfect fit, it is a little wider than the OEM one. so there is about 1/16" over hang lip on the sides, not really noticeable.
Also, there is a lot of trimming...
This sucks for big purchases but any routine maintenance items or parts less than $100 not that big of deal. I noticed rock auto charges a lot for shipping and when that was calculated in the total price it would often be more than buying from another online parts store.
have you tried calling Ford customer service at 800-392-3673 and getting a concern advocate involved? they will over see the repairs and your car progress. Call them and request for a repair assistance case to be opened on your behalf.
Not sure why anyone is hesitant to get this recall done unless you have only one dealer to choose from and is incompetent. it is like you are inviting car trouble down the road.
I mean the repair is hidden under the plastic panels, Ford uses the same sealant that I have seen a bazillion times...
I heard this exact sound for the first time yesterday when I had the hood up but only lasted 5 seconds. The PCV make sense since it came from that area. Now I wonder if my PCV is bad since I it only made the sound briefly?
Any improvement over the old SVE springs? Reason I ask, installed a set on on my 2015, and they continually sagged over time and ride quality was rough. I even replaced the struts and shocks with no improvement.
So the springs kept the same ride with OEM springs? Also did the alignment go? I have these same springs that have been sitting in the garage for 6 months, just on the fence if I want to deal with alignment issues
What audio upgrades did you actually do? Are you able to remove your upgrades prior to the buy back if you choose this option? I know insurances will let you remove all your mods as long as you can replace it with the OEM parts. I would think your service advisor would allow you to do that?
That is good news, how long did they take to replace it once the work order was in? Hopefully the did a good job and everything is new looking still. I get nervous anytime Ford works on my car, afraid they might scratch something up or leave loose
