BTW: a thought lining up a knob with graphics….I got a knob with the GT logo on it. I saw an install video where the instruction was to just gob a bunch of blue Locktite on the threads and let the knob sit on it until it sets.

I thought maybe a better solution is to shim the top of the threads with washers until the knob screws down tight and the logo sits level. Then maybe just a small dab of Locktite is needed, or not at all.

I’ll admit, I bought 3 knobs because I couldn’t decide, and might just switch them out from time to time.

Anyway….I don’t have the shifter set yet, just ordered today. So what are anyone’s thoughts on just shimming the top of the shifter post with washers to get the knob logo level?
As I said on the other thread... the Billetworkz knob has set screws... get everything right side up before fully tightening them.

If you live where it hot you can get little beanies, or miniature hoodies for them. I also think the A10 shifter is hideous. Go for it. And those closed minded MT-82 types poke fun, tell them a standard transmission belongs on the steering column. Like three on the tree. I like the SR white, but am considering a candy blue 💙. I got a GT Premium PP Magnaride with an A10 because of it was sold to me at a price dreams are made of. Plus if a car jacket is chasing I don't have to say give me a second Mr. Car Jacket while I put my pistol down to shift gears. Open carry in Texas you know.

Now that I like. But I no longer have my atlas blue Dark Horse, and sold my blue ember DH Premium to a collector. But I do have an atlas blue GT Premium and F-150 XL in the same color. So I want an SR white ball or Billetworkz candy blue 💙 round for my GT. Wish I could use the titanium I kept from my DH.

Oh great! Thanks! I didn’t know they used set screws vs. threading. I ordered this morning and they already shipped!

I don't understand buying an automatic but changing out the knob and bezel to make it look like a manual. Kinda seems like maybe you all bought the wrong gear box. To each there own I guess.

Sooo, these are cool and all, but has anybody seen a pistol grip option? I think squeezing that handle would be more "fun" than pushing down or pulling up.

I didn’t buy the Billetworkz gear knob and shifter stalk for my A10 because I wanted to pretend it’s a stick. I ordered it because the stock shifter is too easy to accidentally shift all the way back into Manual Mode without realizing it.

It has a thumb-press lever on top to unlock it out of park and it also lets you move it back to Manual Shift mode, and a few times I left my thumb on top and accidentally shifted all the way back into Manual mode without realizing it. And the horror as I wound out into 7K RPM in first gear while still in Break-In mode! 😲

The Billetworkz shifter stalk requires you to push a collar down with your knuckles instead, and I’m hoping that mechanism will keep me from accidentally still holding down the shift release lever when I don’t want to.

It should be arriving today, so I am eager to install it and see if it prevents my dumb-thumbing the gear lever.

This post seems... entirely unnecessary? I would have to imagine that there is a separate thread dedicated to manual shift knobs if you're feeling envious.

I believe UPR, Hurst, and Barton all make pistol grip style options for the automatics.

It seems that most options that fit the S550 in the automatic shift knob department will also work for the S650.
