Actually, if they are compatible, it would always be on since it would be connected directly to the dash cam. At least that is how my current cam would work.

In the US, it is 16 as well, but he is in Florida. They kinda are their own little bassackward part of the world, so I don't know that they really check.

In looking at the console options, am i the only one that has usb plugs in their console? Both of the ones on Amazon, that people gave links for, block all of those plugs. Surely I'm not the only one with those.
It pretty much sounds like you just shouldn't leave them on and "untouched" for years at a time. Basically just unscrew them from time to time and you should be fine. Am I missing anything?
