Thought this would be kind of fun. What are your thoughts on the rear styling of the S650 compared to the outgoing S550 model? Cast your poll!

Wait, dual tips, how did I miss this, or is it a photoshop?

Minor gripes:
1. The plastic lower valance seems rather tall. I think the S550 proportions look better.
2. I'd prefer the panel between the taillights to be black. I think this looks really good on the S550. But this is extremely subjective and easily fixed with aftermarket.

Major gripe:
- The S650 taillights are too small. There's clearly space for them to extend lower on the bumper but Ford chose to have them rise upward.

I see what you mean, and I've gone back and forth on this myself. After seeing more photos though, I think the size is just right imo.

100% agree with you on the gripes. Still a great refresh design but the rear irks me in a few ways.

Felt the same way before I saw it in person.

Totally different take afterward. Wouldn’t change a thing. It looks way more modern and aggressive and resets your idea of what “looks right” having been used to the S550’s proportions for so long.

The S650 looks better imo, on every account.

It's just a more aggressive take on what's currently on the Mach E.

I think Ford went the wrong way. Mach borrowing from the Mustang is fine. Mustang borrowing from the Mach is horrid.

Just my take.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, takes like this make zero sense. You're saying you're mad ford took cues from the mach-e, which is highly debatable. But even if they did, the mach-e took it's design cues from the mustang. So you're mad that ford used mustang cues on a mustang, I just don't get it. It's like being mad if the 911 had taillights like the macan, while ignoring that the macan drew it's design from Porsche sports cars like the 911. We just went in a circle bro. At best, the only element of the s650 that's even close to the mach-e is the LEDs in the headlights, and even then, it's not even close aside from the fact that they're both tri-bars, which is a classic mustang design cue. The, it looks like a mach-e comments are almost as bad as the, it looks like a Camaro comments, almost.

Seems like it will be the s550 all over again. Hated when it was first launched, loved when people saw it in person.

When will Ford (and almost everyone else) take the Porsche hint and stay within bounds of what is a clearly recognized evolution? As a 62-year-old, I'll say I hated the Fox-bodies through the SN92s... Love the S197s and 550s... 650s are moving away... Looking more like Camaros

I think the 550 looked better. I don’t like how the tail panel angles up and I liked how the 550 was clean and straight and could be personalized with carbon ect.
