Assuming a 15% DT loss this is 515/529/535bhp, which is MORE than advertised no matter how you look at it. Who would have thought all it needed was to be broken in? 🧐

There have been a few tests that have shown very little gains with the carbon traps removed, but a majority of the test do show decent gains. Next question is can you put the carbon traps back in for smog testing?

Did you notice the method he used to remove them? I’d be tempted to buy a second stock set for ‘testing and evaluation’ on a closed course of course.

Okay - maybe the numbers aren't 85% but my point still stands. I've seen a significant number of people claim the new Mustang is slower/less powerful than the previous generation when it's been repeatedly proven that is not the case and why.

I knew first impressions meant everything but man, did this one get screwed up.

Yeah agree with you on the HP- I 100% believe these cars are making the advertised HP

I think we need more data point on 1/4 mile times- lets see in a few months when the weather cools what they are running

Or we need a video - same day same driver same track - both cars have same transmission and same rear end

Need more data points before final verdict

I think everyone was expecting it to be .3 to .4 seconds faster so when the times didnt reflect that everyone jumped on the "its slow" band wagon

A little more power, a little more weight (too many factors with the video showing the cars being weighed- not same gas in the car/ aftermarket parts such as wheels exc) so going strictly off what magazines say on weight

I think the cars will run very similar times in the end- probably who ever gets the jump will win ...thats my guess- but it wouldnt be the first time I was wrong (just ask my wife lol)

Given the higher emissions requirements....I would say relatively same times is a major win and if the S650 is faster- even better- just happy to have a new gas powered Mustang available should something happen to mine
