I just ran my GT spec through the 'builder' and got a drive-away price just under $96,000. I was expecting a drive away price in the mid to high 80s (and people thought I was being overly pessimistic). I will cogitate for a few days before making a firm decision. But my initial thought is...
Has she got something on the back seat. I think the mustang has an alarm that sounds if there is something on or someone in the back seat without a seatbelt. I understand that the audible tone also sounds once you turn of the ignition? (its to ensure you don't leave your baby behind)
I can only agree with the above sentiments. I have paid my deposit and would welcome the opportunity to get into a new Mustang. But not at any price, and not in a car that still seems to have some major quality control issue. If the price is too inflated, I will have no hesitation in walking...
I understand there may be a 2nd DH allocation for Australia. I think it might not happen until end of 2024 / early 2025 but if you are really wanting one. But also as you noted, if the prices are higher than people expected, you may see a few people pull out. All will be revealed shortly with...
Dear Steve
Hopefully I am wrong. However, I understood that Australia is not going to get the base model GT. So when I run a semi-performance Auto GT model through the US configurator (with active exhaust, magneride, brembos, sound, heated / cooled seats etc) I get a price well over $50kUS...
Interesting to see the NZ pricing.
Not that far removed from what I was expecting to see here, which was high $80s drive away for the GT and mid $100s drive away for the DH.
I could be wrong, but I expect that Ford Australia will come out with pricing in the next week or so.
Three Reviews by the Australian's that I could find. All very very positive. No issues whatsoever with the steering. In fact all 3 reviewers commented that the steering feel was excellent.
I just spoke to my dealer who are of the firm belief that active exhaust, Brembo brakes and Magneride will be part of the Australian mustang spec. They did indicate that the Appearance package would negate some options (i.e. if you want Magneride you cant get the appearance package & visa...
Thatās for the heads up.
I understood that active exhaust and Brembo brakes were to be included on the Australian spec and that Magneride was to be an option. Very disappointing if those additions are not available.
We really appreciate your interest in keeping people informed. But to answer your poll, I would need to understand what your unique value add will be to the mustang community. Within two weeks there will be a whole bunch of 2024 Mustang videos. So if you want to start a YouTube channel, it is...
I think they will assess pre-release interest and price accordingly. I expect to see a moderate increase across the models. But I think prices will stabilise once initial demand flattens and with the economy heading into choppy waters - I think it will quickly become a buyers market.

I believe that the 2021 changes were federal and affected all states. The mandated federal emission requirements kicked in from 2023 Model year. I under That there are US states with their own āadditionalā carbon requirements.
There is a theory that the US Vehicle emission standards announced in 2021, which take effect from the 2023 Model year, might remove some of the power discrepancy that has previously existed between the US and Australian vehicles. That is the Theory - now we wait to see the reality.
Thanks for the reply. I am not actually in too much of a rush. Keen to see some dust settle on the initial build - and for the US market to sort out any first production run issues. That said, I am interested to see what limited options will be on offer here in Australia, hence my question...
Apologies in advance for the silly question - but why do you have dealer allocations before the product and pricing announcement? Don't you need a price and local product spec, for people to firm up an order for a dealer to then get an allocation?
I envy you Americanās. Most of your Ponies will arrive in 2023. We havenāt even seen the Australian spec as yet. No idea on equipment or cost. The only thing we know is that delivery will be sometime in early/mid 2024. So I paid my deposit in February for something that is yet to be...
