Assuming a 15% DT loss this is 515/529/535bhp, which is MORE than advertised no matter how you look at it. Who would have thought all it needed was to be broken in?
I cant imagine them even checking the intake tract for them. There have been a few tests that have shown very little gains with the carbon traps removed, but a majority of the test do show decent gains. Next question is can you put the carbon traps back in for smog testing?
We've sure had some bad math on here latelyits not a 15% loss : )
Otherwise Im making over 550hp on my 526hp car
Did you notice the method he used to remove them? I’d be tempted to buy a second stock set for ‘testing and evaluation’ on a closed course of course. There have been a few tests that have shown very little gains with the carbon traps removed, but a majority of the test do show decent gains. I think he said K&N in the wrap up at the end of the video.anyone happen to recognize what filters those were they popped in there?
totally missed it, thank you!I think he said K&N in the wrap up at the end of the video.
Okay - maybe the numbers aren't 85% but my point still stands. I've seen a significant number of people claim the new Mustang is slower/less powerful than the previous generation when it's been repeatedly proven that is not the case and why.its not a 15% loss : )

I knew first impressions meant everything but man, did this one get screwed up.
