Understand.....Costco on Pulaski Hwy might be a little cheaper.....?
Whatever octane he put in it at a Costco, it's Tier 1 gas.

This thread reminds me of a long conversation that took place years ago on a mustang forum called FNSWEET, you old timers might remember it. Anyway, the same topic was discussed and the thread/conversation lasted nearly a month before things becoming redundant.

Well, I'd say it's already redundant. I tried to stear it back on track. But people are more interested in engine safety and debating saving money rather than how much HP is lost, which was the OPs original question.

Just a little FYI, California has at least two refineries shutting down soon......Valero, and Phillips 66. One this October and one next April, I think it is. So, get ready to pay MORE for gas in that beautiful liberal state.
We both know gas is going to get more expensive regardless. I live in a very conservative province, The federal government repealed its carbon tax, cutting like 30% of the cost of gas at the pumps, and oh look at that, they went down briefly but are slowly creeping back up, because reasons.

Also you won't find many libs owning oil refineries and gas stations. I wonder if those refineries are shutting down because its more cost effective to abandon them for tax reasons than it is to keep them compliant with environmental regulations or paying the labour/material cost to repair whatevers worn.

But hey, only liberal cucks want to breathe clean air, amirite? When can we bring back leaded gasoline, it was so good for everyone and think of all the timing advance we could run.

Not mention that Philips refinery supplies fuel to Nevada and Arizona too. But any excuse to blame California for something right?

For regular highway driving, in my testing, Regular gas gives you the best mileage. V8s are really forgiving in what you put in them. If you need to race somebody, then that's another story.

It isn't a given that gas prices will continue to go up, at least in the states. Gas prices are actually going down right now.

Yesterday, ANWR drilling was opened back up after the utterly stupid Biden administration shut it down for drilling. Drilling there has nothing to do with killing wildlife as has been proven. It is purely a political "feel good" issue. The Alaska pipeline areas have actually seen an increase in the caribou herds and other wildlife.

Gas prices are driven, for the most part by supply and demand with supply affecting the price of oil, therefore gas. The previous administration tried to cripple domestic supply and succeeded both domestically and internationally so we would all be forced to buy electric vehicles. That isn't going to happen for a lot of reasons. Ceasing the export of LNG has no logic or intelligent reasoning behind it. It hurt both Europe and the U. S.

California can expect higher gas prices in the future because at least two refineries have plans to shut down soon due to over-regulation. They are getting what they voted for.

What if they don't drink wine.
Isn’t funny how every big city’s run so smooth. Taxes you the most on everything , charges you the most for everything . Has the biggest deficit, worst crime, worst education, most corruption,
Opens their doors to everyone and gives away free money to losers that are lazy.
Love the Liberal ways! lol
Maybe Fat Pritker from the wonderful state of Illinois can be next president!
