This would be good for ones that don't have paddles. I just hit the left paddle twice going to pass and ease down with the right foot. This gives more control rather than just flooring it.

I'm not much surprised by this behavior.I expect in track mode it’s more to do with the car being set to behave in a predictable and expected manner to the inputs you’re giving it.
The other way to quickly drop 3 or more gears is to simply depress the fun pedal all the way to the floorI much prefer that method.
Yeah that's what I think too. My car feels or slow if just using the gas pedal slightly, or it is violent. Need something in the middle without using the steering wheel paddles.I must try this next drive. There are times when normal kickdown is too violent, nd dropping a couple of gears and accelerating more gently is a better option.
I've been using paddles to do it, but this sounds like a nice extra option.
Had about a 60 mile run today and tried this out...sure enough, it's legit. I was in normal mode and tried it several times. My results were inconsistent, but I think that was likely due to me being inconsistent in the timing/travel of the double-blipping of the throttle to initiate the gear kickdown. It seemed to get it to around the 3,000 RPM range after the double-blip.Tripower: Report back as well!
My experience was in Custom Mode which is Normal with TC off, and custom exhaust and steering settings.
Looking forward to reading all your feedback after trying this feature! I only tried it on one short trip but was amazed enough to post about it.
