Do all GT's have this sound?

The DI would have more of a click. What's in the OP's video does NOT sound like a tick, at least to me.

And that's what I was alluding to in the post. Does not sound like a direct injection pump, but I'm also not a certified Ford mechanic.

Mine has the bbq tick after its first oil change, now it feels like I have a real coyote lol. Ive also noticed the electrical noises after shutting of the car. None of those noises bother me the only thing that gets under my skin when Im crusing with no radio is that usually there’s a super annoying clicking or rattle sound coming from the back seats. It sounds like loose plastic rattling and it drives me nuts. I’ve tried looking and touching/pushing the panels to see if there’s something loose but I can’t find anything. It’s def the plastic build quality of the base mustangs but I’ll deal with it by just putting the radio on or letting it rip in sport/track to hear the exhaust only .

I know this is an old post but maybe try the rear seats for the sound in the back. My rear drivers side seat makes a click clack sound and I've traced it to the latch on rear seats. Only temp fix is to undo rear seat then push back into place...but it doesn't seem to last..any thoughts or suggestions that might help ?

Use some pure silicone spray around places that latch, rub, or make any kind of suspicious contact. The pure silicone won't hurt anything it gets on (unless you ever want to paint it) but you never know what is rubbing, moving around, latching, etc. Pure silicone can be hard to find but I use it a lot on parts. I also use GT85 which has PTFE in it I believe. It dries up but still lubes things. Bicycle shops use it on shift cables, etc. It's very good stuff and much better than WD-40 which is not a lubricant and makes a mess as people tend to use it as a lubricant, which it isn't. FWIW.

Favor of my fellow 24 GT owners, can you post a video or sound clip of your engine hood up idling? Curios to hear how common this is. Be greatly appreciated, want to avoid dealer unless absolutely necessary.

Anyone else have this sound? Only have a few hundred miles on it, no codes or warnings, runs great. A clicking/buzzing sound in the upper front left side of the engine compartment. Like an electrical arcing, up close more like a tag, shielding or paper flapping against something moving. Getting dark though I do not see anything down near the belt or pulleys, anyway sound does not seem that far down.

Hello I realize this post is a bit old, but I thought i would let you know I bought my darkhorse in for an oil change and told them to check the noise, I have the same exact sound as yours buzzing arcing sound, I just thought you'd want to know they told me it's normal PCV sounds on this engine and it's normal. Just to further your peace of mind. Cheers bro.

I purchased a 24 and it has the same sound.. must be a mustang thing.

I heard this exact sound for the first time yesterday when I had the hood up but only lasted 5 seconds. The PCV make sense since it came from that area. Now I wonder if my PCV is bad since I it only made the sound briefly?

your PCV is probably fine,
If you get a PCV in your hands and shake it rapidly you can hear how it would make that tapping clack like sounds. There is a metal ball bearing or hard ball in there that must vibrate pretty fast up down from air pressure and that is what's causing the sounds. This is what I've deduced but I could be wrong. I might try and replace it and I'll post my results, but anyone can try it there only like 8 bucks. Need a 2 prong puller to get locked collar off though.

Seems every engine has it's own characteristic sounds that at first sound odd. My LS2 has a sewing machine type rhythm when idling with the hood up that took getting used to.
