Synthetic frequencies which also interfere with music, especially when you upgraded your subwoofer you'll notice that problem.

In general, if you pay attention to it, the more torque is requested from the engine, the wider gets the soundstage where the sound comes from, like in the old THX surround sound ads in cinemas.

JJust disable and you should realize the difference.

I disabled it and the v8 is still there. less pronounced maybe, but that is ok.

It's definitely artificially generated and doesn't use microphones because it makes the Ecoboost sound more like a V8.
this is actually outrageous. it's a car, not a computer game.

Neat little scam. Put the junky sound in the car the sell proprietary software to the customer to be able to remove the sound.

Dumb question but wouldn't removing the fuses for the amplifiers, allow testing to hear the difference without disabling in Forscan?

Forscan is not sold by Ford.

I think it should.

One of the best things you can do. I have no idea why Ford thought this was a good idea.

I just got a 2026 Base GT(non-Vert). and also just had a sub and amp installed. I also installed a bass control knob. I notice when driving between 2k-3k maybe a little higher, I can hear the bass rumbling. most noticeable like when you are going a shift higher than the speed you are traveling and stepping on the gas. like going 15-20 MPH and being on 3rd gear. then start reving up between 2k-4k rpm.

Also when I turn the bass control knob all the way down, I cant feel the base pulsing at those RPMS.

Im going to be turning that off today or tomorrow using Forscan.

Why don’t you use your own head unit?

I use the HU to minimize the built in car speakers bass, and the bass knob to control the sub's output. letting the sub pretty much handle most of the bass. the HU bass control also alters the sub, that's where the knob comes into play.
