Well, at least that's out of the air. And it looks silly to have a GTD screen anyways. It's only fun if you could toggle it on and off, to make small kids happy when they jump in the car and want to see cool stuff.
i still have my center screen set up to be a GTD, but not the splash screen. i like the larger oil pressure gauge range, the fact the oil temp gauge actually gives you a temp, and the boost gauge having a supercharger icon

I’ll reactivate my FDRS this week and see what I can find. I have the cable and am pretty familiar with navigating the program as I usually go though all my vehicles every 6 months or so and perform all available updates.
from where I can buy the cable ?

Ouch that's expensive
Is there cheaper options ?
I might consider getting one since we don't get ota updates so i can update my car by myself instead of paying 300$ for people to do it for me because dealers won't update unless there is a problem with the car
I've heard about people buying the Mongoose cable wich is much cheaper.
But that cable might be limited in what it can do. I have no experience in any of those cables and what the differences are.

Updated my fdrs this morning and went through all the available procedures that could be helpful. I’m thinking (hoping) that somewhere within 4 that procedures I’ve downloaded will be the solution. Most likely won’t have time to work on it today but will keep you guys updated.

☹ No dice in FDRS. I’m thinking maybe I need to have a dealer account to be able to make changes. My only options are to update and reprogram modules to as-built settings. I can not see any options to make changes within modules.

So today I performed all available module updates in the car through FDRS, but like I said earlier, I see no options to change the programming within modules. That may be a dealer only feature within FDRS. After updating I’ve gone back into Forscan and tried all the different GTD as built codes in the bcm, hcm, and ldcm. Still nothing. The hope was the bcm needed the latest updates installed to be able to get it working through Forscan programming but no good news after all that.

Is it not because of the Mongoose cable that has limitations in what it can do?

I think most likely the dealer version of FDRS has more options than the non-dealer version. I doubt it’s the cable but could be wrong. I’ll do a little more research today.

FDRS is the same software for both dealer and consumer. This is a requirement of most states in the US under the “Right to Repair.” I can stream for other countries. When you look at the software on their home site (Ford Rotunda) it lists the countries where you can activate the software.

FDRS will allow you to update the modules “firmware” where Forscan cannot / will not. And Forscan will allow you to change configurations where FDRS cannot / will not.

That makes sense. The reason I believe my version may be different was a video I watched where the guy was installing a new apim and it gave him several options to pick from a list. Every module I’ve tried programming in mine gives me no options. Under the “programmable features” tab I have nothing.
