According to my conversation with Ford, mine was built on 6/9, however it still shows in production. They said mine is complete with no holds, just waiting for shipment. Estimate is 7/17-7/23. I like most anticipate an august delivery.
I have that same delivery window. I'm in NC. That means they'd have to start shipping this week or early next which I am hesitant to believe. I guess we'll see!

This is exactly the kind of BS that i'm concerned about. I had no plans on getting my car before August/September, but now that it's built I don't want it sitting outside for months.

On one hand it's just a car, on the other it's always been my dream to custom order a Mustang. This is once in a life time thing for me. I would really like it if it's not dented, scratched, flooded, rusted, etc before I ever get to see it.

I cant imagine there is a plan B. They appear to barely have enough parts/capacity to build cars as it is. I guess next year would be another try :)
If they're indeed waiting on certification then OKTB will come soon. They wouldn't be parking and prepping the vehicles this way if that weren't the case. It doesn't matter what the production numbers are..... they'll begin releasing them from the plant the moment they achieve that with NHTSA since these are sellable. Early August, maybe even late July, is probably super realistic for first orders.

Question. So, I live 15 minutes away from Flat Rock for now. Tonight, we have a tornado and flood watch, and we've been getting a hail's warning lately. God forbid, but if it happens and a tornado smashes its way through our outside parked cars, or some thick hails dented our cars, or a flood pushed our cars back inside the plants, do we go back to 3/27 order processing, or Ford would have a plan B for that :).
I'd say there would be a lot of sad order holders LOL.

Tornado needs no explanation.. flooding is an immediate salvage status and no sale. Hail, Ford can not sell the cars as "New" and would be a loss. I have seen brands have hail sales, where the cars have been "factory fixed" and come with full warranty, with a discount. No thanks.

All damaged cars would have to have their orders redone.

Talked with both Ford Chat and my dealer today. They say my car is built, although the tracker still says in production. Estimated arrival date is 7-20 on their computers, but obviously that does not mean anything.

The day your tracker gets updated to "Built" is the day when you can prepare for shipping. Other than that, it's all speculations.

Agreed! Honestly I don't have much hopes to see the car until late August at the earliest.

Ok guys. I have some more info about the "Ok to buy' drama. I just talked with another dealership guy who used to know a Ford's Engineer (Engineer now retried). He said it's not about an estimate or a decision or an event. It's about quality. He said they will not release the "ok to buy" statement until they have only less than 3 problems after the quality check. So they'll keep building and keep producing and keep parking cars till they get to this point. And since they're taking "Quality" seriously this time, it might take till August or September or maybe October.
So, all the cars they’re parking have more than three defects that need to be brought back in for a fix? Doesn’t make sense.

so mine hasn't changed to "built" however it has a date of 10 July under "in production" my window sticker had its blend date as 22 June and, from what ive read in other Ford forums, the 10 July date is the day its actually done production, however it wont show as built until is moved to be staged for shipping.
Pffft, some of us have dates of 6/12.

No, quality check is everyday several vehicles are pulled off the line and completely taken apart/disassembled and examined.

Any way, we shouldn't discuss the shipping thing any more till the tracker is updated to "Built". Because as of now I think we're all still in "production" category.

Any of you got updated to "Built" yet ?
Chat told me that it wouldnt show built until they actually shipped it. It's why my dealer said just call them or refer to chat as the tracker...doesn't track 😂

I think Ford meets daily to determine “ what are we going to tell these folks today”. i would really prefer If they just say, “we have no clue”. 🤓
