Just curious if anyone out here has done this? Swapped their A10 for a 7 speed DCT like the s550 Shelby has?

Why you want to go slower?
I swear where do people come up with these hair brain ideas?

Spitballing, it's difficult to see something like that occurring. Not with anyone at my level  anyway.

There are physical aspects of the project and the logical.

Physically, getting everything to fit and work just so. That's a hurdle in itself.

Logically would be very challenging. The Transmission Control Module of the DCT expects to talk to the Powertrain Control Module and powertrain of a GT500, a 6G car, not a 7G GT.

Quicker, easier and cheaper would be to remove the existing A10 and have it physically upgraded to be more stout. Improve the cooling while at that. Discuss with a tuner to see if there is anything that can be updated with the tables to have it operate closer to your requirements.

Edit,

It'd be cool to see a DCT-like transmission in the GT. Maybe in a specialty model in the future. But for a GT, DH or something at that level, I don't think it'd be cost effective to Ford to ever make it an option.

Ya I miss the DCT over the A10. Not sure why people are saying it’s slower? It’s a night and day difference than an A10. Far superior as a transmission.

putting the GT500's TR-9070 in an s650 could work in theory, but in practice it's going to be an absolute nightmare. the PCM on modern Fords controls the transmission too, and i can't even begin to imagine the headaches of modifying it to talk to the TCM instead. physical installation should be fairly okay, since there is very little if any change to the transmission tunnel on the s650, and the Predator is a Gen 2 Coyote derivative meaning the mounting should be the same. i think in the end you would need a standalone computer for it, and there's still the issue of the transmission on the factory PCM, because transmission type isn't a "none, 10R80, MT-82, or TR-3160" choice with everything in the PCM, it's a completely different, VIN associated programming entirely. plus, the PCM is still going to be trying to use the transmission.

TL;DR: you could but don't even try. you will waste so much time and money for no real result
