Just curious if anyone out here has done this? Swapped their A10 for a 7 speed DCT like the s550 Shelby has?

anyway.Spitballing, it's difficult to see something like that occurring. Not with anyone at my levelanyway.
There are physical aspects of the project and the logical.
Physically, getting everything to fit and work just so. That's a hurdle in itself.
Logically would be very challenging. The Transmission Control Module of the DCT expects to talk to the Powertrain Control Module and powertrain of a GT500, a 6G car, not a 7G GT.
Quicker, easier and cheaper would be to remove the existing A10 and have it physically upgraded to be more stout. Improve the cooling while at that. Discuss with a tuner to see if there is anything that can be updated with the tables to have it operate closer to your requirements.
Edit,
It'd be cool to see a DCT-like transmission in the GT. Maybe in a specialty model in the future. But for a GT, DH or something at that level, I don't think it'd be cost effective to Ford to ever make it an option.
