What’s your total mileage? Have you been a tracking? Worse case you could drain, flush, refill and monitor.
Almost 18k . No tracking. Lots of spirited driving though

I'm telling you, it's normal discoloration. Have the dealer verify it next time you are in for service and enjoy the car. 😎

this thread made me think about checking my own coolant, so i did, and this is what i was greeted by (system was cold)
S650 Mustang Coolant consumption ? 1758038024170-it

i asked some techs at work and they told me to re-add some coolant and check back on it in a week. last time anyone did anything with it was when the cylinder head was replaced, the whole coolant system was emptied and re-filled

Being the visible tank is just an overflow, I’m starting to wonder if there are other factors deciding how much gets dumped back in it after a drive. Mine went down a little, but next drive it could be back up to Max.

Now losing as much as Roket might be concerning. 🧐

well, i found out my issue was likely because the transmission fluid cooler was very slowly leaking coolant. there was evidence of such a leak, and i got it swapped out right quick. the system was not good at holding pressure before the repair, it took just a few minutes to lose 3 or 4psi. i also had to get the coolant reservoir and cap replaced because i guess after the pressure test the cap didn't click on like it used to

I suspect something flawed with the design of the coolant system hose fittings or the overflow tank cap, because I've also had inexplicable decreasing coolant on both a new '24 Eco and a new '25 GT. Now have a new '25 Eco and can also smell coolant after pulling into the garage. Too early to tell on my current car (<1000 miles) but I suspect it will slowly drop too. Since it's across different engines and model years, my best guess is it's systemic to the coolant system's design.
