or they could be renewing it so Dodge doesnt launch a new cross over EV and call it the Boss

that being said....would be REALLY cool if they launched a new Boss - but I think it would overlap with the Dark Horse

I know all of us are eagerly waiting a new Mustang Special Edition. Could be a Boss, Shelby, Mach, whatever. But unless something is already in the pipeline and budgeted for I can’t see Ford doing it. With sales where they are now how would they justify it. Special editions are not for the average customer, they are for the faithful. And a lot of the faithful just aren’t excited enough about the S650 to buy one.

Thats Ford just keeping the rights to the name.

While it would be cool to get a new boss, we kind of already have the dollar store version right now (though it’s actually very expensive).

would also be a little weird asim r ford just launched the RTR 4 banger money grab.

I’d expect news of a new Conra after the Gtd gets delivered.

would really suck if they just tack on the Boss name to a Mach e suv or something. Or the boss becomes the door factory or rally car.

How about a BULLITT? Offer an A-10 and a 6-Speed and better rear gears. And make sure the wheels aren't black!
Some paint and badges and you have a piece of history.
At least this is something that's unique.

The Boss is a very special nameplate. Really only belongs on a very special mustang. If it isn’t a 2+2 v8 and completely humiliate the dark horse, then they should save it for next gen.

If the ‘19 would have come with the A10 I’d have one in my garage today. But alas it never happened. And I highly doubt we will ever see another. Each year the folks who actually remember the movie dwindle. With sales as low as they are the expense would be hard to justify. But you never know, right? 👍

The Dark Horse is fords special performance car for 2024. They even said early on they did not want to re hash their old cars names when naming their new top performance car. So that's why they came out with the new name Dark Horse.

Hot take, I'd love to see the Bullitt as a "Package" option for the GT. 400A/401A for sure, but maybe also 300A/301A as well. And keep the Bullitt badging away from the steering wheel please.

I can be a little literal so it’s hard for me to tell if you’re being serious about this or not. On the off chance that you are being serious let me be the first to tell you it ain’t gonna happen with a NA, non-hybrid Coyote. 500 hp is pretty much the end of the line for this configuration if not the actual end. Ford isn’t looking to tarnish the platform’s remaining viability with another ka-boom risk.

Now, add FI and/or hybrid technology into the mix and ooch up the dollars by 30-40 grand and you have a horse of a different color. Oh yeah, and don’t forget to add a few hundred pounds too.
