Best tire size for 19x11 rear wheels

11.5 wheel will fit on rear of Mustang if you do not care about the front and rear being the same width. Check out the sizing on Apex.

305 are 26.6" in diameter
315 are 26.5" in diameter

That means, yes, it does. The front are taller than the rear.

Go to tirerack.com and look at the specs for the Pirelli Trofeo RS.

Tirerack.com shows the specs exactly as you have stated. I looked it up since it did sound very odd that a 305/30 would be taller than a 315/30 in the exact same tire. However, Tirerack also lists the 305/30 as 791 revolutions per mile with the 315/30 as 784. A taller tire will have fewer revs per mile, yet the 305/30 has fewer revs per mile than the 315/30. I attempted to locate the specs directly from Pirelli, and I don't see them listed on their website. In fact, on Tirerack.com, the 305/30/19 and 315/30/19 are the only two sizes were the diameter is listed; all other sizes have the diameter blank.

Doing the math, a 305/30/19 would be 26.20 inches in diameter and a 315/30/19 would be 26.44. It seems really odd that the Trofeo 315/30/19 would be within .06 inches of the mathematical calculation, while the 305/30/19 is .4 inches different.

It makes me wonder if it is simply an error on Tirerack's website.

I run Goodyear Supercar F1's 305 on the front and 325 on the rear. Works well. Plenty of grip. Love the wide rear tire look.

I was actually kinda curious about this when I saw your posts on the other threads. Extra wide looks great on your Dark Horse! Also, sweet Cobra and Cobra R at that show

Yes, those two vehicles are very nice. The Cobra is a single owner, just hit 30k.

So I decided to go with the Stampede wheels on our 24 GT performance pack car. It does have ford racing springs.
The wheels are 19x10 and 19x11.
I have 275/35R19 Pilot sport 4S on the front. Should I go with 305/35R19 Pilot super sport on the rear or 315/30R19 Pilot sport 4s on the rear?

Ended up going with the 275/35R19 pilot sport 4s in the front and 305/35R19 Pilot Super Sport in the rear. We tried the 315/30R19 4s in the rear. And it wasnt terrible but this set up just was better. Wish they made the 4s in that size. Oh and went with the Anthracite AR Stampede wheels.
