Crossover is how much on one side of the frequency you want to hear. One side is just bass thump, while the other end of the spectrum is bass mixed with much more of the higher end (vocals, instruments, etc.)

If you want to really deep dive and have it explained better than I can do, I encourage you to read this article….it’s a good one!

(BTW, I just bought the last of the 2 Pioneer 10” subs amazon has ATM. And the adapter cables. Thanks all for doing all the research! I really wanted the 10” JBL subs, but would rather buy something I know fits with little modification.)

Amazon still has 10" Pioneer subwoofs for sale. Multiple sellers.
You are right! Amazon is weird. They said 2 left, and now I looked again and (from the same seller) it’s listed as just “in stock” with no quantity listed. I guess they found another box of them….lol.

So far I ordered the Pioneer 10” sub, the adapters, and the cool bar grill listed on post #39 here. I was going to order some of the poly fill, but I have some here already in the form of poly seat cushion fill. Looks exactly the same as the sheet fill, not the loose stuff.

I was going to keep the stock grill, but read a good point made that the sub does best when pushing air, and the stock grill is pretty restrictive. I also like the cool custom look it gives.

I’m really looking forward to the sound improvement. I don’t expect a massive difference, but anything is an improvement over the stock garbage sub speaker.

I bought the DD Redline before they sold out. It will kick nicely. The B&O system doesnt like compressed content like from Spotify or non HD stations. Volume needs to be up at least half. 50's 60's stuff suffers. The stock woofer is junk. The other speakers probably could be improved but what I have is good enough for my ears.
