Go listen to the race cars or pull up a video. My 2012 Boss was tuned to 8,200 back in 2012. The track cars the Boss 302S and R were tuned even higher

On YouTube There are some Mustangs on the dyno spinning to 9000 RPM, but they don't really sound that different. If you really want to hear something, look up a Holbrook engine or NMRA Mustang, those spin like 10 K.

All Ford has to do is create an entry point for the younger folk to find their way into one. If you've been in the Metro Detroit area you'd understand what I mean. Plenty of young folk driving around in brand new M Competition cars, whether it's the 2, 3, 4, or 5.

Also, it's not hard for young professionals, of which there are many. Once again, at risk of handing out information that is too identifying, I am easily younger than 75% of people on this forum and yet I have a 401A in my garage and a more fuel efficient mode of transport in front of my house. If there weren't a market, Ford wouldn't be trying so hard to capitalize on it.

Is the pricing unbelievably high? Yes, but so is everything else, and crucially, so is the earning potential. Everyone who Ford, the Germans, and just about every luxury brand marketing to them, simultaneously knows how screwed everything is, and is still finding a way to put enough together to live the kind of lifestyle that affords such a car.

Problem is, the more you know, the less you can say. If it wasn't for those pesky NDA's, oh boy, there'd be lots to share.

GM has the LT6 in the Corvette Z06. 670hp, but only 8600 RPM.

90° V8
Displacement	5,463 cc (333.4 cu in)
Cylinder bore	104.25 mm (4.104 in)
Piston stroke	80 mm (3.1 in)

The 5.2 in the GT350 has a 94mm bore and 93mm stroke. If they punch the cylinder out to 95mm and make the stroke 96mm, you would end up with 5444cc

I could see Ford trying to do this, to one up GM.

At 8,600 RPM you'd have 5,417 ft/min piston speeds. 900 ft/min higher than the Corvette's LT6.

According to Google, the Audi R8 (5.2L V10) has the highest piston speed of any production car at 5,295 ft/min. So they'd also be beating that by 100 ft/min.

I'm not an engine builder, but what are the chances of that thing staying in one piece?

Let's be honest about the GT350 and Voodoo. Great car and engine, but notorious for the engines blowing way more often than they should.
