S650 slow......what's the truth???

Not to beat a dead horse, but everyone is talking about how slow the S650s are. What's everyone's opinions? What's the truth?
I'm a die hard Mustang fan. This 2024 will be my 5th one and I have never drove anything but a Mustang since 1997. I'm currently driving a 2013 GT. I'm still super excited about getting my car hopefully this week, but I'm over the hate.

Right! I haven't driven a 2024 yet, but I'm pretty sure its got to be faster than my 2013 and honestly I've been quite happy with that car for the last 10 years

The biggest thing I notice is how many people want to try to race me on the freeway. Really?

Compared to a Bugatti Cheyron ...its slow

Compared to your 13 GT

If you are going from 6A auto to 10A auto- its going to feel like a rocket ship
6M to 6M - still should feel a bit quicker- but not the same delta as going from 6A to 10A

Going from a 13GT to a 24GT- thats a solid upgrade no matter what .......

I think more the chatter was the guys who currently had 18-23 cars going to a 24 - somehow the impression was set that the 24 was going to be .4 seconds faster through the 1/4 mile and when it wasn't people starting down the "its slow" route -I think people just set expectations higher than they should have .....

Yeah I wouldn't put much stock in the people that say that. I'm coming from a 17 year old V6 so this thing will feel like going into warp drive. I drove an ecoboost one time and in sport mode that thing felt like a rocket ship. Anyone coming from gen 5 definitely won't be disappointed.

No complaints here moving up from my V6 S197. Law enforcement may have a different opinion, but we've dodged each other for a week Tuesday.

Over the weekend, I did have a BMW speed up to catch up to me on the freeway, but the occupants merely rolled down their windows and started taking pictures of the car before waving, giving me a thumbs up and driving off.

From what I’ve seen it’s slightly slower than an equivalent s550 or perhaps almost exactly the same. Definitely not slow just not as fast as people were expecting.

Not sure about the automatic cars but the manual 486 horsepower 2024 GT outran the manual 480 horsepower Mach 1 by a 1/10 of a second and 1.6 mph in the 1/4 mile per Motor Trend. Pretty good for only a 6 horsepower increase considering the S650 is also a bit heavier.

Motortrend hit a 12.0 in a A10 Dark Horse. I think hero runs will be in the cool fall air in October, and i think it will at least be equivalent to S550 hero times.

I had a little birdie tell me a local tuning company has a A10 Dark Horse, a A10 S650 GT premium, and a stock A10 Gen 3 S550 they are about to do head to heads with.... ill share when im able.

Slow?
Even if it is a couple of MPH less or a tenth slower, it does not mean this car is slow.

Emissions tuning surely has a hand in the performance here, and that's just reality.

I should add- never go drive a GT500 - then your car will feel slow after.....ask me how I know lol
