you would just need to reflash the LDCMA and B modules back to your VIN. It takes like 2 minutes BUT you would need an FDRS license. It’s fine if you know someone that has it but a few 2 day licenses at 50 bucks a clip add up fast lol
Yeah just like I thought. I like the idea to have it, but only if there was a toggle on the screen or something. Having to plug your car in to change the lights is too much of a hassle since I'm not a person who would use this feature in the first place.

Would only be fun just to use it temporar at certain situations.

Got a correct VIN and I am in business!

The only module I had a slight issue was the HCM. I just ran the PCI a second time and it went through.

Something to help for job 1 people; before doing anything go into your HCM in forscan and take a snippet of 732-12-01 through 732-12-04. After you run a job 2 program just go back in and reenter your values; those values are VIN related.

Other than that it was pretty quick and painless.

Massive shoutout to Grant4514b for answering my questions and Roket for being Roket haha.

Does this make me one of the first job 1 301a GTs rocking amber DRLs? ;-)
We need directions for non IT people, haha.

Each time someone has success, there is a new 3 letter abbreviation, this time is PCI, 🤣.

your success with a job 1 has got me back on with FDRS and forscan. But I'm gonna need one of you 3 on standby if I make an attempt.

Glad you got it to work!

Here are the steps if you have a job 1 that I’d recommend;

1. Go into ForScan and access the HCM and take a snapshot of 732-12-01 through 732-12-04. This is your VIN and will be used later.

2. log out and remove the USB side of your pass through from your computer.

3. open and log in to FDRS.

4. Enter GTD VIN and then go to the toolbox in the lower right.

5. download the LDCMA (PMI) LDCMB (PMI) and HCM (PMI). This will make more sense when you are looking in the toolbox

6. plug the USB back in to the computer

7. click Run on the LDCMA (PMI) and follow the instructions with power cycling. Let the car do its thing. You’ll probably see 911 errors and crosstraffic errors. This is ok.

8. do the same with LDCMB (PMI) and the same with the HCM (PMI) if it fails run it again. (Note from B127 about the HCM: if a pop-up comes up mentioning the VIN mismatch DO NOT CLOSE THAT POP UP. just move the pop up aside so that you can see the progress of programming and keep the FDRS open, it will eventually finish programming the HCM. Once it is done, then you can press "OK" in the VIN MISMATCH popup and close FDRS.)

9. close out of FDRS and open ForScan.

10. Go to the HCM and add your numbers back in from the snippet you took earlier of 732-12-01 through 732-12-04

11. LDCMA 6F6–05–06 set to 0910

12. LDCMB 6F7-05-06 set to 0911
Those change the start up light sequence

13. check DTC’s and clear if any pop up. It might have thrown a couple from the previous VIN mismatch from the HCM.

14. enjoy!

PMI (I miss typed in my last post) is the term used in FDRS. I couldn’t tell you what it means but it dumps and rewrites the module.
PMI = Programmable Module Installation

You’ll want a power supply. Something like a Clore P2320. FDRS highly recommends a power source. What’s nice about the P2320 is it has a PS mode but is also a really good tender/trickle charger.

Yeah, I was researching that after your earlier post. Thank you!

Sorry, another question, following your steps, does this remove the need for a VIN from a job 2 mustang, like mentioned earlier in the thread?
