Alarm System Issue

Or trying to see if it works? Leave someone in the car, shut it off, get out and lock it, walk far enough away for fob to not register... have person move around to see if it goes off. I think there is a delay before active... 1 min?

I think the difference is that the "security package" was included with the 01A package in the 24 MY... it is an additional cost option for 26MY.

I see. No mines a '24. So for 2026 perhaps Ford just programmed it to always be on then? Are you trying to shut it off?

I live in a small town / rural America ... It's a convertible so I very seldom lock it. When i travel, I leave nothing in the car and "touch" that little spot on the door handle that's supposed to lock it. If the car is stolen, it would be inconvienient and I'm insured. I don't want it stolen, but, I have other cars and would just replace it.
Edit: FWIW ... I do use one of the steering wheel club things if I park somewhere in a metropolotan area that feels sketchy

If you had looked carefully at the pics I posted .... I have NO listing for:
"Alarm System" I pictured EVERYTHINg that shows on my Vehicle Setting screen except the very last listing "oil life"

This might be the answer. Im pretty sure "perimeter alarm" is not the same thing as "motion sensors". Motion sensors are for the interior.

A quick look on Ford's website says the "anti theft" package replaces the "perimeter alarm" for '26. So it does seem the "security package" that was previously included on '24 401A is no longer a thing and has been divided up. Looks like now you have to get the "anti theft" package to get all the same security features. And it looks like you can only get it with 4001A and not 400A.

Our window sticker says perimeter alarm, although it's an early '26. We have the 401A package.
