Alarm System Issue

My week old '26 GT Convertible is missing "Alarm System" from the list of topics under "Settings/Vehicle". Also, on my '24 GT, a prompt would appear on the instrument panel after shutting down the engine with yes/no buttons for turning the perimeter sensors on or off. That's not happening with the '26 either. Anyone out there seeing this on their '26?

Is it the 400A or 401A package... needs to be 401A for perimeter alarm I do believe.

My 2024 EB has a 201A package and lists a perimeter alarm on the sticker. But there is no settings in the menu for it.

I just went out and double checked—nada controls! What the hay?

On my 2024 EcoBoost Premium a window pops up when I turn the car off, asking if I want to disable the alarm sensors. I have not looked for any other controls for that. Apparently the default for that is YES, which seems strange to me. I would think in most cases one would not want to turn off the sensors.

Dealer says ability to select alarm system modes, including ability to turn it off, is no longer installed. Can this be possible?

On my 2024 F-250 with perimeter alarm, I get a notice when I shut off the truck. On my 2026 Mustang with perimeter alarm, I don't (SHRUG)

I have a DH with 700A. Pretty sure I have the ability to change the default prompt / behavior of the Interior sensors under vehicle options. I'll check mine later on today but you should have a look at yours there. The only time you would select no is if you were leaving somebody in your car.

Yes there is an option in the menu to change the settings. Option to not have it prompt you about the sensor. I leave mine off so to not bug me.

Maybe Forscan can reset the module or default it. Might be worth a try. Or disconnect battery to reset ecu
